Ok, so we know the box is coming:

My money are on FO/Paramedic, Marksman, Feuerbach and HMG. That would finish the set nicely, though getting additional Combi and CR wouldn't hurt.

It also leaves only three Ekdromoi loadouts and Mk12 Agema to be released. This means we can expect Vedic wave soon, unless some SP stuff is getting resculpted, which is unlikely.

Maybe instead of marksman rifle we get engineer with d charges? Nah I think not...

I wouldn't expect changes, especially since Thoras are in a great spot after HSN3.

Hard to be sure, but it looks like the SMG has a different helmet. I'm guessing that is the 360.
That would be the first marksman rifle right?

From left to right, I'd wage on SMG, HMG, Feuerbach and Marksman Rifle.

Consider the Phalanx Starter has Chain Rifle, Light Rocket Launcher, and Combi Rifle. These seven miniatures cover all weapon combos, no matter how do you call them (FO, Paramedic, Engineer...), so...

    For Aleph? Yeah.

True, but recent SWC boxes often include some specialist sculpt, like FO or Paramedic. Since the weapon on the left is obviously SMG the only reason to include it in the box is for it to be some kind of specialist.

2nd and 4th weapons are hard to tell considering picture quality, but the 4th one looks more similar to Aleph's HMG than anything else, and looks too short for a Marksman. It's possible you're right, though. We'll have to wait for a better render.

Might be, the 2nd weapon is hard to see. Anyway, about the specialists sculpt: the basic Thorakitai (12 points) has the same weapons loadout than the FO and paramedic, while the "other basic" (14 points) has the same weapons than the engineer. In this instance, I think CB took the right decision because we can place on the table 3 thorakites that can be 12 (basic), 13 (FO), and/or 14 (paramedic) to go with Trasimedes (who can be proxy'ed, if needed, by the LRL thorakite), which is very nice.

Apparently the 2nd is a Combi Rifle (according to people from the event I think). So SMG, Combi, Feuerbach, HMG.

This means a dedicated Engineer sculpt, and Marksman left for future release. Weird choice.

I wonder if this means we'll see a new SP starter box soon. It seems weird that they would release a new box with a combi rifle, but no marksman rifle, when there's already a model with combi and no model with marksman. I know this could just be CB's release schedule following its own weird logic, but it does suggest to me that they may be redoing the SP box with a different selection of Thorakitai loadouts in.

Not necesarily. It could mean that the precision combi rifle is deemed not deserving a miniature, due to being too similar to a normal combi rifle or considered a niche weapon (to round up the list when you have 1-3 free points). I doubt they will re-do the starter, specially since that would lead to Eudoros going to a blister and another miniature going to the starter (well, if it's 2 Netrods + 3 Thorakitai + Myrmidon AHD + Agema I would approve in a heartbeat).

Well, I'll probably get the box and simply convert Combi to Marksman Rifle. Should be easy enough.

I think we’ll probably get a new SP starter sooner rather than later. I’d definitely be okay with it. The current one is alright but nothing spectacular. As long as the Vanilla one gets redone first (or soon after at the very least).

I wouldn't hold my breath on a new SP starter as long as the 300 point box is active. The 300pt box was the first of the switch to making the boxes compatible instead of duplicating.

It’s only going to be around until there’s one more 300pt box though as they’re only having 2 in circulation at once. Plus it still would be compatible with a new SP starter. But yeah when I say sooner rather than later I meant in the next year or so.
