Inspired by the PanO thread a couple weeks ago and the legendary Haqq cooking thread, I figured we could use a silly fluff thread with how slow things have been lately. Here are a couple of my ideas but I'm damn curious what you lot can come up with so share your own!

    Vanilla:

Folk punk with Eastern European influence proclaiming that fair fights are for suckers? This is Tunguska and Bakunin coming together to say unmodified FtF rolls against PanO are a terrible idea and you should feel bad for considering it. This track was also used in the director's cut of Deadpool 2, so there's a link to the totally original and legally distinct Sr Massacre and Metal Morlock as well.

    Riot Grrls:

Joan Jett's Bad Reputation and The Runaways' Cherry Bomb are close runners up, but Kathleen Hanna is more associated with the Riot Grrrl movement of the 90's.

    Praxis Module - Black Labs:

Fun fact: This is documentary footage of the creation of Pupniks.

    Corregidor:

Bit of a weird choice, but Corregidor really reminds me the settlement Zion from Neuromancer. To rip off someone else's description:
"Zion is a colony in space built by five workers who just up and refused to come back to the overcrowded rock that is Earth. As a result, its construction seems more slapdash than [other location].

The current inhabitants of Zion follow the Rastafarian ideology. One of the tenets of Rasta is the return to Africa by the descendants of slaves, where they hope to establish a free state. In a way, the Zion colony of Neuromancer is the realization of that African free state, only in space."

So Zion was a resource starved settlement full of zero-g trained African engineers/workers who declared freedom. Sound familiar? In Neuromancer the inhabitants of Zion listened to the constant rhythm and thrum of their life support/machinery and began layering tracks over it to create a non-stop ambient dub throughout the station. I love this concept so much I stole Zion and dropped it into a Starfinder campaign, the linked video always playing whenever the players are inside that station.

    Tunguska:

Does this one need an explanation or excuse? I think not.

You forgot the most obvious one:

Although Bakunin would prefer the live version with the 5 minute drum solo, those deviants!

There are definitely a couple of threads like this on the old forum versions for nomads.

Totally agree on the Soundsystem culture and Corregidor, that's how I imagine them too. Just turn it up a notch and through in some breakcore to represent the technological and cultural evolution.
