Hello everyone! I've been writing a Ramah Taskforce focused blog called the Good Guys Wear Orange for over a year now, and the time has come to try my hand at Battle Reporting! What I, together with my opponents, are attempting to do, is to provide a play-by-play report from both players' perspectives! I'm hoping to prepare several new pieces like this one in the future, but the amount of work this one took suggests that such battle reports won't be too frequent. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts as comments either on this thread or on the blog post itself! Have a great day everyone! After Action Reports: #1 Operation Unrelenting Facade (Ramah Taskforce vs Tartary Army Corps, Unmasking) #2 Operation Dead Man's Hand (Ramah Taskforce vs USAriadna Ranger Force)
I really enjoyed this battle report. It is possibly the best battle report I’ve ever seen. I want more. lol Tho, the reason I want more is to determine if I want to follow through with selling my RTF. RTF has very few attack vectors and is quite static with more glass than cannon. To make the most of its shoehorn niche and reduce the “glass” a five man JAN link with medical support is almost required. It’s powerful, static, and durable, but it’s boring. Plus, the JAN models are UGLY! CB needs to update these models. Maybe HB spoiled me, and playing a bastardized version of Pan’O has me uninterested. :S
That is a high quality battle report with excellent pictures and the links to units you mention in the AAR was a nice touch.
Gosh, thank you for your high praise! The next report is very much in it's planning stages, so stay tuned! Let's hope I can convince you to give RTF another chance! ;) These things are always a matter or perspective, but personally I find that RTF can achieve extremely variable threat vectors by wielding a roster of units that can provide a very versatile combination of firepower, durability, infowar capability, mobility, order efficiency and specialist capability, not the mention the ability to tailor one's list to pretty much any mission, but that's just me! :) Thank you buddy, much appreciated! :)
