The idea behind this post is to offer a place for statistic comparison of the Fireteam: Core options on the OSS, in the mid-tier (300 points) lists. First, the unit profiles will be exposed in their differences, compared to see who has the highest stats then the post proceeds to the display of the information of the Fire team: Core options. This information is already uncovered; this work just gathers it on one place.

In the OSS, there are three units that can make a core by themselves, arranging them form cheapest to the more expensive they are:

I couldn´t find an image online of the 4 new profiles (Multi Rifle, AHD with Boarding shotgun, FO and Harris with Sensor). This one is from Infinitythetactics.com

I Hope this is useful to the community and please talk if you find errors or feel if something is missing. Sorry if there are many grammatical and semantic errors, English is not my primary language.

Finally, I Would love to ask:

What are you favorite Cores to play in OSS?

Why or for what are those Cores?

If you could change or add something to the profiles or cores to make them unique, versatile in relation to the other Cores, what would it be?

The Dakini link with 1 CSU (sometimes a Deva too) is miles ahead of the other option imo.

I don't think the other one are competitive at all. Their point costs are more suited for haris.

I think most people runs mixed links. For example if you want linked devas (EDIT: i said dakinis by mistake), it's probably better to use 1-2 deva in a dakini link than a pure deva link.

I only used a pure yadu core once, and several pure or mixed dakinis. The deva core has no really appeal, they lack long range options and the mixed deva/dakinis are just plain better. MSV2 deva in a core team is a beast through.

The yadu core i used once (Shakti + 2 multi rifle yadus + FO + HRL) performed well and was really strong. There is not really much you can do against unhackable, non isolable, 2w troops, except brute force them. Granted they dont have visual mods, but on the opposite, MSV are useless versus them. Problem is, i felt like i had nothing else than my yadus (it's a 180 pts team after all). It's probably best to run them as (mixed) haris. Good point through, their veteran states gave me several regular orders when my Lt got shot.

    This is EVIL :p

BTW you made me notice a mistake, i wanted to say "if you want linked devas, it's better to field a mixed dakini+deva rather than pure deva link".
A MSV2 deva in a dakini link with MSR could be a nice alternative to a HMG dakini if you tend to see many CH/ODD/TO. With the 5 bodies bonus, it has as much killing power a marut has, without the cost.

    EDIT: for more evil :p

I have several factions, so I prefer to grab each for the unique thing they offer. Thus, Dakini Core, which have always been my workhorse while playing Vanilla Aleph.

That being said, I'm not too keen on using them as a static defensive Core, so mine is more of a x2 HMG, AHD Deva, Paramedic, Regular/2nd Paramedic.
