Suddenly doesn't look as bad as I thought. I was expecting much much worse, like the one Nuada posted. Except for head part, it's s#!t. It is still attached and there's visible loss of detail that would be a nightmare to sand. Why is the head attached? Why did you lie to me Carlos? Whyyy??? No visible form misalignments. I'd request a new body/head, you might have got a box packaged early before they made the change, or one that was missed. CB seem pretty eager to address issues with the new material.
Mine wasn't that bad, though still pretty bad in places, especially anywhere there was detail on the underside or vertical surface. But this kind of thing can and hopefully will be improved as the technology matures. Almost all of my issues come from the material itself and how it is and utter pain in the ass and just awful to work with.
Gonna be honest this shit is making me real glad my faction is probably one of the last in line for siocast. Give CB more time to get their production up to scratch with competitors that use the same material.
It's about fifth or sixth I've seen in the wild that they've sent out from the first production batch. At this point it's not a packing mistake, they're outright shipping the miscast batch.
I have no idea why there are so many issues if they have the support of the inventors of the technology - there are companies in Poland that have worked with the same technology for years and their results are amazing.
Same reason buying the best 3D printer you can find and then immediately putting it to work won't produce results as good as someone who's extremely familiar with working with the unit. Experience matters.
That only means they'll probably improve faster and fix mistakes easier. It doesn't mean shit for producing a perfect result from brand new sculpts that need changes to their designs and mold cuts to produce the desired quality.
One would hope, that as a company, they would make sure they can produce a good quality product before shipping it. Hell, I won't hand off shitty prints if I supported the mini wrong or it stuck to the FEP, not sure why they are shipping miscast sh!t.
Yeah I do have serious questions about that. They have clearly packaged and sent out far more than a few of the wrong sculpts for it to be a low level mistake.
100% this. I mean, QC has never been CB's forte, both in rules writing, print and in shipping, they've always relied way too much on the customer to point out the error, but this is starting to unacceptably look like being done on purpose.
mine was separate but I has issues else where on other components such as the rear of the body, and the back of the MK12, but I know of two locals that got the old body/head piece.
