In a couple of months I’ve got six rounds tournament that I’m preparing for. 300p, Spec Ops 12XP. I would be very grateful for any advice.

I'm playing and tweaking this list for months and I'm pretty comfortable with it. Neema can dominate some matchups and it seems that I could always use more Command Tokens. I'm especially happy about the Spec Ops. Works like a charm.

I’ve wanted to tailor second list a little bit for Frostbyte, and I definitely had to find something for Deadly Dance:

    OMW 2

    ──────────────────────────────────────────────────

    GROUP 1[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]10 [IMG]4

MAKAUL Heavy Flamethrower, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 13)

MAKAUL Heavy Flamethrower, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, Viral CCW. (0 | 13)

MAKAUL Heavy Flamethrower, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, Viral CCW. (0 | 13)

    SUKEUL HMG, D-Charges / Pistol, Breaker Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 35)

    KAMAEL (Infinity Spec-Ops) (12 XP) (WIP:14, Hyper-Dynamics L2, Minelayer, Doctor, Stratuscloud) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife, D-Charges. (0 | 13)

MAKAUL Heavy Flamethrower, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, Viral CCW. (0 | 13)

CHAKSA AUXILIAR (Baggage, Sensor) Heavy Flamethrower / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 10)

Draal as a Data Tracker, hiding on a rooftop in Suppressive Fire with Symbiomate, surrounded with mines is in my opinion one of the most hard to kill units in the faction. His only purpose is to stay alive and secure exclusion zone in Frostbyte. Kamael Lt, Kaeltar and Draal are always deployed separately of course.

    Continuing discussion from another topic:

That was my reasoning. That’s why my lists are looking like they are. The issue is that in six rounds tournament, even one Tie or “small” Victory can make huge difference. And without a TAG, it’s almost impossible to score five or more Objective Points.

It depends on the table, opponent and their deployment. I think that maybe I’m not forcing it enough? On the side note: I’m almost always losing Initiative Roll. Even with Neema...

Unfortunately I won’t be able to test all the options. That’s why I’m very grateful for any suggestions and opinions.

This mission would be great without it’s randomness. One roll before start of the game can determine too much in my opinion.

Nonetheless, I was thinking about something like this for Deadly Dance but it seems that I’m losing a lot for Frostbyte so it’s possible that I will not even test it.

i think the first of the two lists for deadly dance/frostbyte would be better for both of them. the tag list could get you a couple points you would be missing by not having it in deadly dance, if you can have it live and cross the board to where you need to go, but i personally find frostbyte to be a harder mission for tohaa overall due to the lack of good HI, and i think building a list more geared for that would be better.

that being said, i would try to have your deadly dance, armory, and frostbyte lists be the same, and have a draal and kriigel in there for more board control. putting dazers down in those missions can be clutch, and i cant oversell how good eraser is as a repeatable aro.

also, i totally agree about wanting neema just for more command tokens. most of my games with swarm im out of command by turn two, sometimes i use them all up on the first turn.

Well, if you only care for that 5th command token, why not take the Combi Taqeul and extra Makaul / Kamael / Kaauri?

From my playtesting it seems that we don't have to send a lot of points into the cold. Most of the list will be happy staying in the deployment zone, defending my Heater. General plan was to abuse Makauls (obviously) and destroy Heaters on other half of the table. That should put ton of pressure on opponents. And it's fine if they'll have a lot of HI as in my opinion it's one of the missions that is very hard with low order count. I'll just stick with my guns, take first list and playtest some changes in second to include Krigeel (it shouldn't be hard) because you are 100% right. Eraser in Armory is VERY good.

    Been there, done that ;)

Neema is in my lists not only for the Command Token. She is also premium combatant (at least in Tohaa). In most of my games I just throw all my orders at her, kill a lot and then throw some more orders (Lt and Data Tracker) to kill some more (or to run away) :D
