One of our local players uses 8-Ball a lot, and he certainly agrees with you on his synergy with Hannibal. But I agree with your concerns about his ability to keep two ranged Strikers clear. Having played 8-Ball, Hannibal, Hexxer and Senior Massacre I'd be confident of being able to get to and eliminate ranged Strikers either before 8-Ball could do anything about it, or at least get to one while he was protecting the other.
