Anyone used these chaps yet? I've not had chance to really proxy one but I've been itching to try. SymbioBugs look ideal for shutting down areas of the table and the extra command token (from those profiles) seem good to march up more defensive pieces up like the Kaauri.

i use taquel spitfire lt with gorgos and several solo units like kaauri smg, chaksa baggages, krakot and a free makaul.
    i do coordinate solo units
taquel can leave symbiobugs around and helps gorgos to feel safe in defence

The Taquel is one of the units I'm still figuring out and with only 1 match with him doing a whole lot of nothing I haven't seen his potential yet.
Honestly you need to adjust your list to make most out of the extra cordinated orders he provides, which isn't a bad thing.
I'm still a bit torn between the viral combi and the spitfire profiles, on 1 side I wished I had taken the spitfire profile in my last game for the range, but I feel the viral profile is more menacing.

All by all I think that my decision on taking him in the future depends on how well he performs in play, if he doesn't perform up to expectation I rather take Neema for 6-8 points more for the advanced command.

I found that it can be specially useful on Looting and Sabotaging to protect the AC2 with its symbiobugs. Combined with a chaksa auxiliar with baggage and a couple of minelayers, it should be very easy to defend the AC2.

Good catch there. Will have to experiment on this mission this week as I'll be playing my Tohaa!

Two thoughts from someone who's new to the path of the artichoke:

    1) Relatively pokey 4-2 movement on the primary profile means that the Spitfire will be a better pick if you anticipate the need to advance to the midfield due to the more favorable range bands as you work your way up to where you need to be. Save the Viral for games where you plan on using him as a defensive piece (Looting being a good example).

    2) Half the threat of the bugs is that they force the opposing model into the Targeted state regardless of whether they pass their BTS check. But Targeted won't last into your own turn. That makes me think that liberal use of Suppressive Fire with the Taquel himself and/or supporting troops with overlapping lines of fire would synergize well with the bugs.

For whatever my two cents are worth!

I played him quite much. I love him. It is the most underrated model in tohaa! I don't like the lt version because it is no specialist. The chain of command one is and with wip 14 it is extremely good. Paired with a radial viral lt you gain 2 pieces to destroy the enemy (I like the back 13 spitfire way more than viral, the rasail gets it though because of nanoscreen)
Take 1 or 2 baggage chaksen to refill your bugs

I've used the Taqeul before, when ITS had Central Room missions, and it was very effective paired with Kawaii Sentinels or Makauls.
I have yet to try it with the new Missions.

We have nothing of the Taqeul, just the profile (no miniature, no render, no Concept drawing...).

Canceled? Corvus Belli doesn't "cancel" troops, they just take loooong time to release some models.

As far as I know, the only models that got out of the game were the Exrah (space crustaceans for the Combined Army), and that was because of a combination of: 1- not very good sales and 2- expensive models because the damaged easly the molds used to produce them.
I've never heard of a troop whose profile was shown in a book and then was deleted later.

The Uhlan, Tikbalang, and Raicho had to wait over an edition to eventually get models!

The only removed profile I can think of that never received a model was Toni Macayana, but she was a named character Tikbalang and most of her special sauce got added to the base profile in N3 Human Sphere.

I believe that rasails are excellent proxies for taqeuls. There are viral combi rifle and spitifre version, and the viral combi rifle can work as an regular combi. A couple of symbiobombs or symbiomates to represent the simbiobugs, and done! You have a taqeul!

@Abrilete, you know it's 'kaauri', right? I always see you saying 'kawai'.

I don't remember who called them first Kawaii Sentinels, but I just don't care. They'll forever be Kawaii Sentinels :p

Lonely Artichoke said in his leak video that the taqueul gets discontinued because of lack of interest or something, I surely hope that this video will be proven wrong

Looks like many people didn't get the joke and thought the video was real.

    Yeah, that was a joke.

Anyway, my stab in the dark here is that they've had trouble settling on a design for the bugs and that's what's holding the T's up.
