Question about his cancellation, maybe i'm bad reading.

My trooper is set on SFM with his HMG. Now some trooper fires to him from long distance, out of the SF range. I'm able to cancel the SF mode firing in ARO with the standard HMG profile (so using B1 but the range of the HMG?)?

you are not forced to use suppressive fire, but if you do, you cancel it.

It's in the cancelation condition of the suppresive fire state :

    Cancellation
The Suppressive Fire state is automatically cancelled in any of these cases:
    [...]
    • The trooper declares an ARO different from a BS Attack using Suppressive Fire.
