I had in my mind that the Strategic Deployment rule allowed you to hold back the entire fireteam and deploy them as your held back 'model'. I looked at the rule the other day and see it doesn't actually say that, rather that they get FDL1/2.

Can someone tell me if I have made something up (likely), if it was changed (unlikely) or if it is being played that the rules interaction means if you hold back the Strategic Deployment model that somehow allows the whole team to be held back? (Can't see it...)

    Thanks,

    ED

Strategic Deployment hasn’t changed, it sounds like you got it mixed up with the higher levels of Strategos.

It does, doesn't it. Except I thought it let you hold back the whole team. I'm actually kinda glad I was wrong because FDL1/2 is better imo.

There was a lot of speculation that it would let you do that when Bostria mentioned it in the video before the rule was released. That's probably where you got the idea.
