So i've got an event coming up with Frostbyte as one of the missions, and the Sphinx is an obvious draw given its immunity to cold and its ability to smash heating units. But it's pretty hard to build a list around. First attempt below... the idea is that the Ikadrons and Noctifer keep an eye on my DZ heating unit, Speculos and Swanson slow down the enemy and keep him bottled up in his DZ, and specialists grab the consoles. But pretty hard to make a list without going limited with it. Dunno. What do other folk think? I'm curious, what's your plan for Frostbyte and why SEF? I feel like the main reason to play sef is extra Q Drones.
Aida got me interested in coming back to SEF, and the bonuses to MI has obvious perks when it comes to gwailo fireteams. But lacking any HI, the sphinx is the only thing in SEF that's immune to the frostbyte effect.
I think you're better served with Vanilla combined for frostbyte. (0 | 4) 4 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army Make Bit the datatracker so she won't die in the cold, or go balls to the walls and start with the Sphinx or the anathematics revealed and choose one of them as the tracker. Still, this list has 2-3 models that are cold immune, and the anathematics can turn on a heating unit to save all your folks huddling on the back line. It suffers on ARO if you don't have the first turn, but I think it can work well.
