Is the request Speed ball effected by the +3ph for a friendly Controlled jump EVO program. Likewise can you aro to give an opponent -3 ph with an evohacker in response to an opponent's speedball. Also does the designated landing zone in missions like firefight affect speedballs?
1 - We're not sure. My best guess is no, because: The Speedball rule itself says that you use the rules from Controlled Jump ("applying the Combat Jump Skill rules"), but not that the Controlled Jump Skill is actually used, or that the Speedball is treated like a Trooper. Controlled Jump is a separate Skill, and modifies a Trooper's use of the Combat Jump Skill. 2 - No, this one's clear. Request a Speedball is not a Skill declared as part of an Order, and a Trooper doesn't declare it, so there's no opportunity to ARO with anything, including Controlled Jump. 3 - Probably not, Designated Landing Area applies to Troopers with the Combat Jump Special Skill, and as far as we know Speedballs aren't actually Troopers, and don't have the Combat Jump Skill. 3b - Related ITS rules (maybe these will be clearer in the next packet?). You should ask your TO or opponent about these: Border Skirmishes also refers to Troopers with Skills, so it probably doesn't apply, but it's thematically appropriate? Exclusion Zone doesn't refer to Troopers, but does refer to Skills. This is the most likely to apply of these three, but it's not clear. Confused Deployment refers to Troopers, so it probably doesn't apply?
