Ok, the question is Simple, Can you Spec.Fire a Camo marker with a Grenade Launcher (normal ammunition) by targeting the ground beside it?
No. Only Targetless trait weapons can target the ground. By default all BS Attacks, including Speculative Fire, needs a primary target. P.s. Also to remember is that targeting attacking the ground would require Anti-Materiel trait of the ammo, which in turn would cause you to be unable to place the template where an enemy or neutral trooper may be harmed by it.
Worth noting that you do not need to center the template on your target, so while you’re not “targeting” the ground, your center is on the ground. You cannot do a speculative attack only on a camo marker, you need to have a visible main target. If you do have a visible main target inside your template, you are free to place it in a way that clips any other enemy camo markers. (And as said earlier, this does not need to be centered on anyone)
Yup! So if your opponent is foolish enough to have a non-camo'd model next to some camo markers, feel free to rain SpecFire on that model until the revealed model(s) are all dead!
