Hello, we had yesterday a discussion about following situation
    [IMG]

    1. Green is hit by a missile launcher with double 1
    2. Blue has no line of sight to the attacker.

    Questions:

    A) Will Blue be hit by the attack?
    B) If yes, will he get cove bonus for the armor roll?

    EDIT:

My Opponend sayed, that the overlappeing with Blue was smaler (still overlapping left of the black line), so Question
    C) if it is hit, would there be an difference between the orange and the red blastradius.

yes blue is hit, there is a line from the blast focus to blues base, therefore blue is hit by the template.

no blue does not get cover, it is an template they ignore cover for the arm roll

    A. For impact templates, Line of Effect/Total cover is determined from the center/origin of the template, rather than from the attacker. Blue is hit by the attack according to your diagram.

    B. For templates in general, cover is not applied.

    C. I... actually am not certain what you're asking here. Circular blast templates are all the same size. Could you clarify?

Further note: IF this took place on your reactive turn, blue does get an ARO, and may dodge. (possibly with a -3 depending on facing.) If it's your active turn, then... ouch.

The proposions aren't correct, if the obstactles are in a different size, there could be either the red or the orange case.

if the blue model is touched by the template such that a straight line can be drawn from teh centre of the template to the blue mode unobstructed and it is within the radius of the template, then the blue model is hit.

Note that LoF from the blast focus to the trooper has to be within the template. If the orange circle was any smaller, it wouldn't hit the blue target.
