I got. so, into killing stuff with the Uhlan and Swiss guard, I did not do the mission. Here is the list for game 2 In game 2 I played a MRRF player and lost 7 to 4 here is my list CDN team A ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 FUSILIER Lieutenant Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. How do you NCA players fight the blood lust?
I mentioned this in the big writeup, but I think success with NCA is always going to be about leveraging your killing power to create space for doing the mission. You're right, it's absolutely easy to get caught up in killing things, but at the end of the game that still becomes a loss if you haven't pushed the buttons or taken the zones. This is where units like CSU specialists, Auxilia FOs, Hexa Killer Hackers and Pathfinder bots come into play: they're relatively mobile, disposable Specialists that can help solve different kinds of problems that sit between you and your objectives. If you paint all these up and get them in your list, you're easily looking at 16+ Orders. Use half those Orders to zap things, the other half to take ground so you can do the mission.
Think you for your feed back, and you are right and I should have kept that in the back of my head, right now I'm working on my PanO support box. Once that is done I will work on my REMOT's. I don't understand why I was hating on PanO for sometime, I now see what all you other PanO players see. The power of PanO, Got to love PanO, It kills.
You have to many shooters and not enough orders. Unless you play Limited Insertion NCA lists usually have ~15 orders to boot ;D
Thats Kinda PanO in a nutshell really. In terms of NCA, Ive actually started finally playing them myself. Im thoroughly enjoying how they work together on the table, even though I find the List writing as frustrating as all PanO lists. Im looking to really leverage the combo of TAG+Link team+support and Ive got both a Squalo list and Uhlan list that Ive used once each that are working a dream. The other thing I plan on leveraging is hte Aleph units, I have a Deva Hacker, Deva Spitfire and Garuda BS on order and will be using them both in TAG lists and lists that build around force multiplication. Finally I want to look into developing a PanO centric Hacking Doctrine, and while I have ideas for both ASA and MO being built around "Paladin Hacking" NCA really is probably the easiest place to start learning something I've always aimed to minimize in my lists due to the presence of the Heva KHD. I would ditch one of the FO Fusiliers down to Combi to get a Palbot for my Machinist. Gives you a decoy too, which is always nice.
Nah, Im finding 2 FO fusiliers are great linked as an ARO for covering across my DZ and a flank. That list is also packing, 2 B2 Wip13 Mimetism Flashes 2 B2 WIP15 Flashes 1 B 2Wip13 13 Flash I like the link The machinist only has 1 thing to really heal anyway which is the squalo and if I get the palbot cant coord If the fugazi drop they drop and usually take more effort than they are worth killing, they can also drop sniffers in ARO if I really need them down more than I need the fugazi alive
If you bring a TAG, it pretty much justifies having a machinist too. As PanO player you have to take advantage of the rule G:Remote Presence that gives your TAG better odds to be repaired vs. manned TAGs. Also, because he's a cheap specailist with D-Charges, he can be your backup plan if you have to blow up a console/AC2/doing your classifieds.
The Machinist is basically one of the most "must take" profiles in the game. Its the only Engineer in PanO at AVA1 The faction Focuses on both HI, TAGs and REMs, and a Machinist is a requirement to support those troops Its one of the few sources of Dcharges in PanO and certainly the cheapest
