Lets say I have a Fireteam with a hacker on the table. Across the table I have a deployable repeater and no LOS. My opponents HI does a Mov-Mov in ZOC of the repeater. Can my sixth sense hacker ARO on the HI model. My LGS sais the last bullet makes it so you can ARO, but the way I read it the first bullet (requirements) never happens so the last doesn't take effect.
Unresolved: https://forum.corvusbelli.com/threads/sixth-sense-dodge-when-not-attacked.38823/page-2#post-403442 Awaiting the return of a functioning ruling system, along with so many other questions. @ijw we miss you, please come home!
I assume the HI is using Stealth? Big red box, Stealth is not effective against Troopers with the Sixth Sense special skill.
The same bullet point is repeated in the Stealth rules in a red IMPORTANT box, that time without the confusing requirements. I'd personally take that as a guide.
Also note that it says "with the Sixth Sense special skill" not "using the Sixth Sense special skill"
Right, my bad. Re-reading the previous thread, both interpretations resulted in Stealth not working against troopers with SS. It was the bullet about Dodge mods that's still unresolved.
Thanks, that's the way we always played it. I wanted to be sure of the rule before my game against JSA. 6 pitched repeaters and multiple SS hacker really slows them down.
This has been causing confusion for a long time, absolutely strange that nobody gave it a look in the edition update.
The relevant parts here are: - Stealth does not work against troops with 6th sense - Enemy HI moving through the ZoC of one of your repeaters, and you have a Hacker inside a 4+ Fireteam, so the Hacker has Sixth Sense. - Repeater rules state that all your hackers get ARO against enemy troops spending orders inside the ZoC of your repeaters. Those three points mean that only your hackers with 6th sense can ARO the HI (thus, one, for what you stated. Which may have been the right tactical choice of your opponent, if you had 3-4 hackers and the HI has good BTS). I'd say that bullent point boils down to: "A trooper with 6th Sense will suffer no penatly to Dodge rolls, but for the -6 applied by IMM state". So they would ignore Surprise Attack, Deployable templates mods, not having LoF to the origin of the attack (shot from the back, Speculative...), etc...
