An HRL costs the same as a Combi Rifle. So an HRL and an SMG is going to be more expensive than a Combi Rifle.
Yea, brainfart ;D
All I've ever wanted is for Acon Regulars, Auxilia, Kamau and Croc Men to get SMGs.
Oh, it would be so amazing.
The Regular would be incredible since they'd have to give all kinds of extra shit since there's no way they'd allow PanO to have a five point regular order.
Nah, SMG are too low tech for PanO.
That's why Aleph and it's abacus are using them everywhere.
Imagine if they gave it a Jammer as well... the cost would probably drop down to 1-2 points!
Can I just point out how stupid it is that a Heavy Rocket Launcher and a Combi Rifle are the same cost?
I mean, we know it's true... but its one of the most stupid costing comparisons in the game.
Why does the SMG Regular have both biolocator and a nimbus lgl?
Apparently because Burst is king and template is situational. They also have roughly the same range coverage, except one is more close range oriented
I always thought, combi rifles are free, and real weapons are compared to that in price. Like a HMG is 8 pts. How much does a combi actually cost?
Eight points. An HMG is 16.
Fusiliers with Marksmen Rifles
And Order Sergeants with Boarding Shotguns
Combis are pretty universally 7 points as far as I can deduce, with HMGs 15.
But it does also look like there are either multipliers, or fractions that get rounded out (otherwise there is no explaining why Auxilia are only BS 11 for example).
Auxilia are BS11 because they are based on Moderators and other BS10 troops
Except they're armed (combi, pistol, knife) and costed (10 points) exactly the same as fusiliers, but are only BS11 with all other stats identical.
The auxbot is 4 points, we know this from army builder itself and because they're consistently 4 points elsewhere (order sergeants, and if you do the maths on peacemakers, the seraph is a little harder as it's a TAG). There has to be eithe fractional points or a hidden multiplier that benefits fusiliers or penalises auxilia.
Compare a moderator at 9 pts to an auxilia at 14 (-4 for the auxbot)
The Auxilia actually comes out better because essentially for 1 pt they get +1WIP (+1/-1=12 Basse) and +1 ARM.
The BS is 11 because the chasis is the BS10 WIP12 chasis, not the BS11 WIP13 one that most line troopers have
Point deduction breaks on things like Ghazi Muttawi'ah and similar dirt cheap things.
But that's basically Pano. +1BS, -1WIP, no nice things.
That 11BS Auxilia annoys me as well. And moderators just seem lame.
I can believe that. I'm not completely certain on the cost but eight has come up a few times. Both make sense. Here is where it gets confusing though.

According to this chain rifles are actually worth negative points. I wouldn't be surprised but it still seems odd. When you really look it over the whole "points are never hand adjusted" goes out the window.
