Should I write a 20x20 for Code 1?

My job is still not available to me due to Covid-19. Plenty of time to write a 20x020 version for Code 1.
But is there any necessity? ITS has improved since the time I started writing missions. I haven't seen that many missions for Code 1 yet though. 20x20 will also have the advantages of not needing to have specialists (pretty important in the C1 setting, I believe), not using the classified objectives deck and a more narrative approach to mission writing.

So far I have the following ideas:

The second D20 roll will not be for secondary missions, but for changes of how the mission is played. Examples are: increasing or decreasing the size of the deployment zones, adding mercenaries who shoot at both armies, environmental effects, etc.

The missions so far are mostly simplified versions of my old missions, and a few new missions. I have ideas for 15 missions so far, so further ideas are welcome.

CodeOne missions are at the end of the PDF, page 82. Annihilation, Firefight, Supplies and Domination

Cursory glance they are same as in ITS11, with any potential Datatracker scoring spread out on other objectives.

We'll see if there will be an C1TS or if they'll simply go with ITS12 for CodeOne.

there would have to be some changes to the ITS missions for code 1 because there are no d-charges, no forward observers, etc.

We'll see how they do it. It's possible that they simply add Suitable For CodeOne™ as a snazzy header to some missions instead of make several ITS documents.

I’ll give a simple answer: yes! We really enjoy the variety of the 20x20 mission, would love to see a C1 version.

    YAASSSS!!!
    That would be awesome!
I have a feeling that Official Missions will be sparse coming out.

There isn't supposed to be an ITS for C1. It's not intended as a tournament system format.

I have already started. I figured that Code 1 could do with a few more missions. I have already decided on the 20 missions, some are new, most are old. I will just simplify some missions, ramp up the maximum objective points to 10 per mission, that's it. I should be done soon.

Major changes will be that specialists will automatically pass WIL tests to claim objectives, while everyone else has to pass an umodified WIL test. Since there is no Loss of Lieutenant, I figured that the Lieutenant should play a role in scoring Objective Points. On the whole, I believe code 1 20x20 will be a lot simpler than the original one.

I am not sure anymore, but I think I remember Carlos saying something about plans of setting up a tournament system for C1 as well.

I think the mention was along the lines of: "CB will support competitive C1". That should amount to the same, I assume.

That's a bit ambivalent, though, as it is enough to make an Army tool and a global leaderboard for it without specially designed mission booklet. I do seem to recall that ITS12 was stated as being N4.

Anyway, I think alternative mission formats are always good. The offical one can get stale :)
