I'm not sure if they'll get this creative, but I'd accept either Smoke Launcher or Eclipse Launcher, with Burst +1.

Burst +1 on the GdA's auxbot would be a great rule for making that bad Auxbot BS a lot more reliable with the new rangebands for launchers.

They could give the Auxbot's SGL (and only the SGL) (BS+3) or (BS 14) with the new rules, I think. Not that it would solve anything, but the new rules allow for that, I think.

Yeah +1 B specific weapons are everywhere. Not just to represent the good old dual Assault Pistols or SMGs, but also Contenders, ADHL and I think I do remember seeing a +1 Smoke LGL somewhere.

I'd really prefer the Smoke LGL in PanO to be a typo though. Even with Eclipse it is more of a tactical tool for Vanilla already, regular Smoke just makes it pair better with Aquila Guards. Then again Teucer in SAA without Smoke is a bit meh and he is the only available MSV2 there. Ideally the GDA Smoke Profile is SAA only and the generic Eclipse Smoke still exists on another Profile.

I’d like to have a reason to include Rao as an Lt.

A profile with counterintelligence or CoC would also be great for him.

I think Singh’s fix could be as easy as Tac aware or NCO. If he kept a specialist option, that would be awesome.

I would love to see Acontecimento ORCs. Something a little different than the other two sectorial ORCs. Maybe a minelayer? Maybe a forward deployed FTO to pair with a forward deployed Rao? And maybe a forward deployed FTO pathfinder? That would be a really interesting combo that I’d probably try a bunch of times before I remember that anything I forward deploy without camo just seems to die right away...

    Damnit it’d be cool though.

The more I think about it, the more I love the option of a multi marksman rifle or ap spitfire forward deployed orc for Acon. Give it stealth and maybe FTO with Rao and something else. It would be an awesome jungle gunfighter that stands out as different than the hmgs that Bagh Mari and ORCs already have.

    Acon change rundown:
Regulars: NO MORE SWC TAX ON REGULAR FO. Hacker Fastpanda is 7 points cheaper
Machinist: SAA Machinist now costs the same as the vanilla Machinist (yay!)
    Akalis lost the E/Mitter
Bagh Mari: have a cheap FO (replaced Number 2, which is now on ALL Bagh Mari). The HMG LT Bagh-Mari is 2 points cheaper than the non-LT (bug?)
Drakios: Now MI. Got full Berserk and Specialist Op, lost Free Agent.
    Kirpal: got NCO
Rao: Lt now gives +1 Command Token (good!)
Scylla: Now MI. HAS AN ECM AGAINST HACKING. She gets a Hacking Device with Trinity +2 DAM or an EVO Hacking Device with Trinity +2 DAM and picked up a Pitcher (Acon botspam is back on the menu boys!). She also picked up Shock Immune
Teucer: X-Visor gone, picked up Shock Immune, costs reduced
Guarda: Got a lot cheaper, got 6-2 MOV, PanO has smoke now
Dragoes: Got a full 21 points cheaper

The Regular FO picked up a Deployable Repeater as well and the Regular Sensor Minelayer got 1 point and 0,5 SWC cheaper for a total of 13/0

Wow, I missed that! That's an extra 0.5-1 SWC in most Acon lists.

    First impressions:
    • Regulars: they were good before, are even better now. SWC issues fixed (including 0 SWC Minelayer, nice).
    • Agnes: being a Wildcard gives her a function, any fireteam could use a cheap specialist and some decent CQB firepower.
    • Bagh-Mari: changes in line with other MI, it's nice to see them keeping LSGs, BSG FO is a very nice profile change, cheaper Machinist meshes well with the team. Good before, very good now.
    • Akalis: meh. They're decent, but as barebones as possible. Missed chance to remake them into something interesting, and different from MO's Crusaders. Loss of E/Mitter is an additional insult
    • Singh: meh v2. The only Akal that can actually make decent use of his E/M CCW (N4 MA2 is good), but CoC fits a Combat Jump unit just as badly as before. Another missed chance to do something interesting.
    • Rao: meh v3, 4, and 5. The most lazy patch in the whole update so far. Lt. (+1 CT) is useful as is the ability to get Number2 into any fireteam, but he's still the most boring special character in the game.
    • ORCs: still solid, if not very inspiring. Ability to use some of the other divisions' tools is nice, but I'd rather see some Acon options. But they're good regardless.
    • GdA: Sightly faster, much cheaper, first native PanO's Smoke source, woo! Me likes.
    • TAGs: with N4 changes they're slightly better balanced. Tikbalang's greater mobility and Mimetism vs Dragao's better staying and stopping power. Getting easier to fit into lists hurts not one bit.
    • Skirmishers: slight upgrades stemming from general N4 changes - Nagas get a bit more utility than before due to BSG granting a direct template. Still a solid staple of many lists.
    • Teucer: lost some mobility, got more durable, BS (Shock) is a cherry on top. Now, combined with that new Smoke GL of ours...
    • Drakios: I liked him before, and, unsurprisingly, him getting more killy in CC did nothing to change that sentiment.
    • Scylla: oh boy. She's more expensive, but it was for a good cause. Previous choices streamlined into either combat or support hacker, both of them being able to hunt enemy hackers with a vengeance. Pitcher is a very good replacement for Nanopulser.
Overall SAA didn't lost any of their N3 functionality, picked up some more, there's quite a bit of small tweaks here and there - mostly due to N4 rules changes modifying how skills work - and all of this is for the better. Scylla changes, and unexpected Deployable Repeater and Pitcher options mean that Acon is still the best PanO sectorial when it comes to hacking, only even more so. Singh and Rao are still a letdown - though their NCO and Lt options are useful, they're just as boring as before. Getting Smoke is the biggest thing, and makes all the MSV units very happy. Might be just the thing to keep me in PanO.

We all better wait for the corrections before getting excited about GdA's smoke.

True, and there's a number of other changes in all the armies that could be bugs. But overall, I like what I see. On the subject, Neoterra got some additional teeth now.

There's a Machinist with or without Mimetism -3, both of them 15 points. Working as intended.

Inside you there are two machinists. The both break their tags and ask for a new one.

He's not a bad Lt; he's actually a good Lt now, given +1 CT. What he is is completely and utterly boring.
