With the Shakush to drop this February I thought it would be fun for the community share its chonky boy lists whether they are experimenting, competitive, or full on meme.

I just ask a few things:

1.) Please provide a write up on your list. More is always better in my book.

2.) Don’t bully or escalate others about lists. This is supposed to be good ol’chonky boy fun.

I've played Shakush in 2 tournaments about a year ago, so before some minor changes. I've posted the write ups and the armylists here:

As you can see (if you want ;) ) the lists are similar, kind of my playing style. I decided to take Kum instead of typical Ghazi because of ITS mimetism for motorcycles. And the riders did really good - especially Zuleyka, who was the star of my games. In all 3 missions I get the Predator card and in all of the games she killed more than 3 guys in CC.
This time Shakush wasn't the main character and main shooter, but also did what he had to do.
I played Frostbyte vs Invincible Army on 1 group (2 Yan Huo in Haris, core with Shang Ji), then Aquisition against Kosmoflot (Core and Haris) and Countermeasure against OSSS (core with buffed Dakinis, Proxies etc). I won all three games rather easy to be honest (10:1, 10:0 and 8:2) ;) Always winning initiative and almost not having a situation when bad rolls destroy the plan. Knauf/Jethro was important, grinding through Yan Huo for example, Daylamis did good job, as also the rest.
Shakush was usually waiting to take action, in the first battle destroyed some Zhuyong and other guy and gave me the control of Dead Zone in the centre of board.
In the second battle he only attacked once, when Kosmoflot was already seriously wounded - he shoot Unknown Ranger to death in one beautiful burst (all hits and a crit - 5 armor saves for the victim). Then he controlled the objective in the center.
Photo before the deployment of reserve - Shakush and Zuleyka were deployed on the right side.
In the final battle was the only situation when my dices decided to make a bit of a joke, but only in the end of the battle, when I was already having 6 objectives made and my enemy had 1. In this battle Shakush put down Dakini HMG (for some time) and also tried to put down Dakini sniper, but got wounded. And in the last 2 orders of my third turn I was again trying to kill that sniper just for the fun of it. We were shooting through Blizzard and I had 3 dices hitting on 11, while he had one on 14 (buffed by Evo). And in the first order when I went to LoF with the sniper I missed my shots, got hit and got second wound. So in the next order I moved out of LoF of the sniper and again Dakini hit better and I failed my arm rolls and for the first time lost Shakush in battle. Yet that was something made clearly for fun, as I knew it had no impact on the outcome of the battle and of the tournament.
Still have to remember, that even a lone sniper can take out a TAG ;)
Shakush is in the right bottom, the sniper up on the highest building in his deployment, close to the big commercial add on the roof.

All in all, I'm really happy with that light TAG. Lets me build quite normal armylists and still is rather shooty and tough. Good unit. But in yesterday's games I was thinking that having AP Spitfire could be actually better - getting closer and into better ranges than HRL/MLs or Snipers is great and would help me in few situations, AP ammo also would be good against toughies. But also the shorter range of weapon would make is rather ineffective in most ARO options. Still I mostly kept Shakush hidden, so maybe next time I'll try the AP Spit version ;)

    ...

I will definitely play with Shakush more when it will be released.

The Ghulam Core Fireteam is purely defensive. The Fawanis (plural of Fanous) provide repeater cover for the Shakush without consuming orders from its pool. The Namurr rounds up the Mukhtar Haris, and the Nahab is an outflanking option (as well as an extra Specialist for Mission and Classified Objectives).

Like I said, I've only used it twice; both times the Shakush became the center of attention, allowing the Mukhtar Haris and the Nahab to outflank the units that were going for the Shakush.

It's an easily modifiable list to make it more competitive, since my Wrecking Belles (Namurr, Nahab and 2 Mukhtars) are only mandatory for me.

The list started off as an experiment on how many activations I could fit in a single RTF Combat Group, and from there on out I was actually able to build a second Combat Group on the cheap! I've had my Shakush end up on the Opponent's Deployment Zone on the top of turn 1 more than once with all those activations behind him/her! :D

In my opinion, Shakush HMG is one of the best TAGs in the entire game. Tagamemnon is gets a lot of cheap stuff, but are they really useful for every match?

I can attest that @Grotnib list is very good. Movement is super effective, there is a tool for every problem and nothing hinges on a single must-win f2f roll.

    @KedzioR_vo

Haqq imo is more of a midrange faction, but having a decent HMG platform is nice as it feels more normal like you mentioned. I definitely find myself gravitating to the HMG over the AP Spitfire to leverage range and overlapping sectors of fire.

    For everyone,

What is the communities thoughts on running the Shakush with engineer support? I’m sure a lot depends on the faction, list, and meta, but do you see it worth it where it is prioritized or passed over for other skills/profiles?

When I started running the Shakush I used to bring the whole suite of support options along (Engineer, Hacker+Repeater for counter-Posession, maybe a Nasmat for base to basing the TAG against some Opponents), but as time went by, I started to scale back the support. Nowadays I feel that going out of your way to support a 58 point model just isn't cost effective (nor important) enough, especially as the Shakush A) doesn't have Remote Presence and thus "repairing" can quickly turn into "dismantling", and B) at WIP14 the Shakush can potentially Reset itself out of Isolation and/or Immobilized State(s)...

To summarize, I don't bring an Engineer for the Shakush anymore, as part the light TAGs appeal is it's low opportunity cost, but when my list also includes two Rafiqs (as they probably should for this ITS Season), the Engineer is probably going to be present anyway!

    Sooo...
    Shakush!

When I saw a mini picture I first thought that it's some new AzRa'il, which is a good thing ;) I'm not totally sold on the sculpt, will definitely do something with the chopper, but overall I like it. Maybe this time I'll even leave the little arms as they are ;)
The pose is static, but menacing and intimidating, which is cool. The gun looks good (and is AP Spitfire for sure, looking at different Haqq's units and even dossier of Shakush).
The armour is really thick and the mini comes a bit closer to the "toyish", "cartoony" new style of Infinity, which I don't like (Morats for example), but still he's enough Haqqislamic to be good. Definitely will get him.

And then will try him more ;)

I'm not sure about the model, the pose is so static, like if it was parked. The sword and the spitfire are too big especially the cc weapon and it don't seem to be easy to convert.
On the other hand I like the overlaped armor and specially the head, no head like that on any other tag nor other remote.
I think I'm going to wait until the images of the mini itself to decide what to do.

I had not thought about the size of the gun because of the size of the sword but yes it also seems big. I didn't have high hopes for the model. I want to field a TAG just to try but man the Shakush profile is so painfully generic. I know even a generic TAG has good stats and people have good experience with it though.

Yeah, the Shakush can be seen as boring, but it's a good heavy weapon platform, whether you use it with HMG or AP Spit - BS 14 isn't something often in Haqqislam, Heavy Flamethrower is a nice thing too. And ARM 6/BTS 6 are also a proper values. Shakush definitely could've get something more special or unique, making it bit more jazzy ( ;) ) BUT - it would also affect the cost of it.
And that's the most important thing IMHO, that I also wrote about earlier. 58 pts isn't much for unit with that profile, with Tactical Awareness et cetera. It doesn't affect the list building that much, it's just another soldier in the army. You don't have to change much to fit him and you don't have to take the whole support for him (engineer for example).
Shakush gives a bit more firepower and survivability with not so much attention to it.

I'm not some specialist on Shakush, played 2 tournaments with him, but want to use it a bit more when I get the mini ;)

And about firepower and suvivability - Maghariba was a case of a rather cheap and good TAG earlier.
She needed a bit more support in the armylist, but was rather effective and "economically correct" ;) Now - in N4 - when most of the TAGs got some big discounts, CB went te other way round for here, giving many abilities and increasing the cost. Maybe she's good now, but for me she's to expensive for what she provides. At least 23 pts more than Shakush - that's a big investment for almost the same shooting potential. I haven't used her since the change and to be honest I'm not even tempted to do that.
Now Shakush fills the role of a heavier, but still affordable, shooting platform.

Spot on, @KedzioR_vo - I've deployed a RTF Maghariba against WhiteCo recently. She didn't really had a chance to shine (the table foced her into one specific avenue of approach, and into spending quite some Orders forcing her way through a TR HMG bot) before a Karhu took her down with a Feuerbach - and at the same time, she needed quite some additional support.
Leaving not much space for the rest of the list.

I had a variant of the same list with a Shakush, and it was significantly more flexible.

Maggie is fun, but she has many extra doodatts that bump her cost up.
Shakush is a reasonable, affordably-proced gun platform. Uninspired, yes, but one that gets the job done.

Yes, it feels like Haqqislam is a in great place with our TAGs. We have a cheap no nonsense gun platform and an unigue platform that is great for area control.

This is really good to know! For Haqq, I think low to no support is the best way to run a TAG both competitively and fluff wise.

Only support for muy tags is duo with rafiq Fto, Wich brings specialist to a fireteam and a repeater for hacking cover. The hacker is a specialist that I usually include.

I can definitely get behind that. If only HB had that option with the Shakush, but the little guy can move 6-4” so there is that.

True. I mainly play RTF and start yo play HB to test new hassa minis, so my experience with Tag would be very different.

I think barid with pitchers can give your tags some antihacker umbrella. For midfield specialist, HB can try other tools like nadhir, farzan, shujae...

    Cheers.

Not in love with the Shakush model, but I am really hyped to see in in action together with Fiddler. Shakush can clear out firelanes for Fiddler to push forward through. In return, climbing plus jackbots will deal with these pesty hackers on the roofs

Okay. So the painted Shakush looks good - I like the scheme, the battle damage et cetera. The knife still has to be changed.

But I also have to revalorize my opinion about Shakush profile and that being cheap is good, which I posted in aswer to @vorthain
Because today one of Polish players asked about the TAGamnononom and I looked at his profile the first time with some thought and... It's just irritating. For merely 4 pts more he gets better move, +3 CC (and -3 CC for enemy), ECM Hacker -3 and ECM Guided -6, NBW, REM PResence, additional burst on flamethrower and DA CCW :|
Alef just has to get flashier toys. So - if we could get a bit more interesting stuff for such small points then yeah, I'd like some too.
I'm not even saying that I'd like Shakush to get all of that, but some defence against hackers and guided would be nice, and flamer with burst 2 also.

But - we got the most important thing right - Haqq's TAG looks legit, while Alefffs looks like rubbish :P
