Is there a way to escalate these questions to CB? Until they are clarified or improved, people just won’t use them. It’s a shame nothing has been said about them in any FAQ

surprise attack should ABSOLUTELY work on the panzerfaust, as well as being able to hack with the Cadmus, it just makes sense. If this was the case, people might be more inclined to use them. The KISS principle needs to be applied to these units, rather than the overly complex rules they currently have

I know CB is trying not to remove all their fluffy rules because some player were drawn to it. But Seed Soldier and Cadmus should just be re-profiled and eliminate the Fluffy rules. Even in N3 the interactions with Seed soldiers and Specialist (data tracker in ITS) were problematic.

Seed soldiers: Move all the Embryo skills to the Developed Shape. Drop the Chest mine. Maybe make a Minelayer profile to keep the chest mine motif.

Cadmus: Move all the Embryo skills to the Developed Shape. Replace Decoy with Holo-projector (I'm assuming you can deploy echos when dropping), Lose surprise attack and chest mine. Morpho-scan seams ineffective. Just eliminate the skill completely.

Rules wise it's a lot cleaner, I see a slight improvement in profile quality, but nothing abusive.

You're essentially proposing to make them similar to the 1-use camo Ariadna troopers, which is a pretty big deal in terms of altering the trooper.

They did a big shoring up of issues on these profiles for N4 and as far as I'm concerned the only real dangling issue is the Surprise Attack skill. Frankly, just remove the skill so people stop expecting it to be available to the profile that doesn't have the skill - that way you also don't redesign the trooper.

Or, just put surprise attack on the developed profile too. Done
Will make the KHD Cadmus a neat pick as it can cybermask and continue using surprise attack, and importantly, give people a good reason to use them

and as has been mentioned earlier, give seed embryo the concealed trait. Not quite sure how you’d implement it though

The KHD profile is probably a reason they don't get Surprise Attack on the main profile and Seed Embryo has concealed trait already implemented on the Seed-Soldier (just deploy Prone if you don't want to give it away as a Seed-Soldier). Cadmus specifically doesn't have this (it's a combat jumper!).
If Cadmus aren't used then it has nothing to do with Cadmus being bad. 21 points is really cheap for a combat jumper, most combat jumpers are closer to 30 and even if they have better stats Cadmus is by no means overcharging, and on top of that it's got Morpho-Scan that the others don't have. This thing turns hilariously broken if you get the opportunity to scan a Montessa, as an extreme example. So this is either a perception issue or that the faction is dialled up to 11 so a profile that's merely a 10 isn't going to cut it.
