Maybe some of you guys have already realised it before but i found a good attacking option for o-12 . raptor killer hacker can get in cybermask and that makes the rem to get in masked state too. ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 2 REM RACER (RemDriver [+1 ARM, +3 PH, +9 CC]) Light Shotgun / Pistol, PARA CC Weapon(-3). (0 | 12) RAPTOR (Hacker, Killer Hacking Device) MULTI Rifle, Light Flamethrower ( ) / Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 42) DEVABOT Heavy Flamethrower / PARA CC Weapon(-6). (0 | 5) 0 SWC | 54 Points Open in Infinity Army My idea is upgrading Rem with close combat skill by taking a rem racer. cc22 rem in cybermask can attack with 2 burst together Raptor. What do you think about it ?
I guess you could do that. does not really look broken to me as the devabot has no Suprise, non leathal ccw, and you still pay a lot of points for this "trick". could be clutch against a TAG or similar where the IMM-2 hurts.
Also you're risking the opponent 'takes' the imm-2 state against declaring an unopposed CC attack against your quite expensive Raptor. You can do the same trick, but much cheaper and maybe faster, using two sidebots from a lawkeeper. One of them boosted with the RemRacer
I've run it a few times and never ever gone in with both for B2. It's just a nice option to have for taking on certain targets that your MR & HFT can't, namely tags normally. As Rabble points out, it's a dangerous game, basing with both, as 9/10 your opponent is just gonna slam everything into your raptor not your dev. So that rules out dedicated CC units, as they normally carry DA/EXP/Viral/EM, and so can ruin your raptor. That leaves non-specialists who aren't afraid of MRs and HFTs, which is basically most TAGs. Against them I'd just rather send the devbot on its own, forcing the face to face against bad odds. But more generally, yeah, I've run it a bit and it's quite good. The only flaw for me is that O12 has so many tasty 12pt-ish units in its roster that it's often hard to find space for the remracer. Bluecoats, dakini paramedics, cho, MBHs, kappa hackers, varangians and raveneyes tend to bulk out my lists quite a bit, to the point that slots are more of a resriction than points or swc!
