Scarface Loadouts

    Scarface got a nice bump in N4 with a few different loadouts in Druze. What is everyone's favourite and whats been working?

    I've used the AP spitfire a few times, the extra burst helps him push through FtF despite relatively average gunfighting stats.
    The heavy machine gun can give him the range and be a sweeper, but with his other skills you kind of want to get stuck in, and ultimately even with AP, a BS13 HMG isn't going to be that great against the types of units people are going to leave on ARO duty these days.

    The Mk12 seems like the worst pick to me. No extra burst, similar DAM when you consider the AP effect of the other choices. You'd be taking this one for the +1B HRL but I'm struggling to see the applications here. I have considered the brawler HRL for the opportunity to keep links honest, but in those situations you're likely getting nuked and hoping to burn some team members and the 16 point cost of a brawler versus 68 for scarface is pretty simple maths.

    When i use him in QK i like the Spitfire option because basically what u say.

    Normally i duo him with a specialist and the best is just his sister Cordelia, an Engineer to help him when needed and push buttoms.

    QK doesn't have access to the Scarface & Cordelia special Fireteam sadly.

    As much as I think that the Mk12+HRL loadout is cool, it's just not reliable enough when we're talking about an expensive model that can barely shoot straight for its money with BS 13. Now, to be fair, +1B makes it more tolerable, and it covers most of the range bands which is a plus, and the HRL's blast mode can be a real pain for the enemy link teams. Problem is, in order for that versatility to be reliable, you need a great and sturdy gun platform with good stats. BS 13 is not a good BS for a TAG. You'd be surprised by how often Scarface can whiff his shots if he doesn't have enough dice or, god forbid, you use him for AROing. It's basically the same issue I had with Al Fasid HRL.     AP HMG is just not that appealing to me, especially given the fact that Scarface feels best in the midfield with his CC stats. If you need someone to pull you out of the DZ and deal with the ARO models – a smoked Brawler Sniper in a Core will do that for you just fine.

    AP Spitfire is the best pick IMO since it still has some sort of long-ranged ARO piece and the extra die on Spitfire allows Scarface to make the most out of his BS.
