Alright everyone. Rustbelt Ruckus is back. This year we're stepping back from Summer where we normally try to do things. This year its January 21st (Setup, dinner, gaming, etc) and January 22nd (Main Event. 4 rounds Supremacy Looting & Sabotage Rescue, Biotechvore pending season updates) I will be updating this space frequently. The Cobra Ariadna Force will be up for Charity Raffle along with some other items, all for the benefit of Gleaners Community Food Bank. We are leaving "The Cleve" this year, not because we don't want to be there, but because it will be easier to ensure the event happens by having it in Michigan at Bastion gaming Center in Bloomfield Hills (only about 45 minutes from DTW Airport). I cannot stress enough, you will have to be vaccinated to attend. I am requiring proof of vaccination when you register. You can email that proof to Rustbeltruckus@gmail.com which once verified will be destroyed. In anticipation of Season 13, the mission (pending a change from CB) will be Supremacy, Looting & Sabotage, Rescue, and Biotechvore. We will be using the Red Deck and no other "Extras". We still have a couple spots remaining. Event is the 21st/22nd (21st setup and open play, 22nd main event and dinner). Mask and Vax mandatory. We have built filtration systems to reduce risk, but understand if folks have concerns about the Covidiots out there.
So this weekend we had 30 people for "Rustbelt Ruckus 3, the Search for Rustbelt 2", delayed tournament from the start of the Pandemic. @Savant dethroned Cobraprime as reigning Champion. We set up 18 tables on Friday the 21st and had some open gaming, dinner and imbibing time. Saturday morning we got underway even with speechification by 9:30 and only ended half an hour later than the planned schedule. That's a testament to the players. 4 Rounds (Supremacy, Looting and Sabotage, Rescue, and Biotechvore). Players from Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, and of course @Redbaron from the better Carolina. We raised just shy of $900 US for Gleaners Community Foodbank between direct donations, raffles, and sales of swag. The amount of money raised will purchase over 10,000 pounds of food for those in need. Already putting in place plans for next year's Ruckus.
