    Hi all,

I'm new to the forums, and somewhat new to playing Infinity, losing less and less each game!
I've been a consistent presence at our FLGS on open Infinity Play day, with the intention of revitalizing the area by becoming a Warcor. I have completed the Warcor form, become active in our local Facebook group, and am trying to put together a tournament as our FLGS came into possession of an ITS Season 11 box.

Is there a recommended way to go about doing these two things? What strategies have worked for others? Are there pitfalls to avoid at all cost?

    Thank you,
    -trox

In our local scene we started to have a meeting point once every two weeks in a store. We have had two tables every week for 2 months now (had more players than available tables). We communicated on the store Facebook page, and local infinity Facebook groups.

It has started to draw the attention of a lot of new players, or old player retuning to the game.

Our weekly meetup at the FLGS has been holding steady at 1-2 tables and 4-6 people for ~2 months now; there's an information/signup number list where I advertise availability for demo games to introduce new players

Is there anything else I should do to be listed on the official Warcor list, and be able to use the ITS codes?

Anyone can use ITS codes, they're not limited to Warcors.

WarCor status doesn't do a whole lot for community building beyond offering an illusion of legitimacy if I'm being completely honest. Everything you can/should do is already within your power. That being said be sure to fill out a WarCor request on the page linked below. The WarCor intake generally seems to be once or twice a year with a few stragglers here and there. If you dont get a response within say 8 months to a year you could try submitting another application.

Generally speaking it sounds like you've got the basic ideas down pat. Try running an occasional small tournament/painting day/what have you. And look into organizing more formal demo days at the LGS. This could be a good opporunity for 2-3 games to all demo at once and you'll attract a lot more walk ins as a result.

We make sure to play as close to weekly as we can, always in public (games stores to attract more players) run active facebook and slack channels, and make sure to have social activites (bar) after game night to strengthen the community

    Talk to your local group.

My local group has about eight people in it, and often wants to do three different things at the same time. You want to move together on a project, and spread around the love so everyone not only participates but gets a chance to lead.
