(0 | 4) 2 SWC | 200 Points Open in Infinity Army He win Initiative so he decide to go first, i decide the deployment zone and to deploy second. I splittend in the 2 deployement zone and so he did. I put my Helot, Regular, TechBee and Palbot on my the left side where he put is Fire Team with Aiace, the Doc and 2 myrmidons. Yes i was sure my med would die, i tought they could be a good diversion. On the right side i had my Black Friar, Monstrucker, Warcor, Joan and Seraph, he had Chandra with is Bot, and He start and move aggresively the Doc with Aiace and the team towards me, i shot to them with my Helot but since he use his Doc as team Leader and he had ODD he melted me down. That's where i learned that i put my Black Friar in the wrong spot. After 4 order he was in CC with my poor man, that was melted down by Aiace and his Strenght. The left side was the opposite, seraph was able to declare ARO as they move his men and, despite i loose my blackfriar, Seraph tear 2 of his men apart. My first Turn, i complete the cleansing of his men on the right side, Seraph is really a monster with his HMG. I positioned (badly) for his advance on his second turn, and put my Seraph in SF. He moved towards e but he was too far to react with SF so i Canceled it declaring a normal ARO (did I missread that or can i do this?) and then shoting aiace (the onyl one of that team without ODD) hitting him with 1 wounds. He tore apart my Mostrucked that was stucke to an antenna to do the Objective. My second turn, i startet do use nanopulser on his fire team that was very compact, here we was really yired (2AM) and start playng a little too brainless. With more time we both will be play more cautionous. Only lycky mention i kinda succeded 12 ARM/BTS (maybe more) roll in a row with my Seraph. I've a lot of question about this match and now more over i'm afraid on how to handle on such that fireteam. Smoke Granade + Eclipse + ODD
Weeeell.... eclpse smoke is a known ultimate weapon :) I think only mines\mad traps\crazy coalas counter it... (some crocman\ regular minelayers). And yes, those fireteams are strong... till they meat cheap chain rifle warbands and camos scirmishess with mines. PanOc do not has those cheap warbands...buuut they have guys with cheap aux bots with heavyflamers....and peacemaker (also with a flamer-bot)...DTW (i.e. heavy flamers, nanopulsars) are even scarier in your reactive turn. When placed well, the way enemy can't flank you and will have to engage you being in range of flamer they cause your enemy to spend more orders, to put smokes to flank... which is good, very good. The more orders spent, the less will be done for shooting and mission stuff. Also - you do not discover your helot LRL first chance you have. Let him spend his orders on discovering you and\or wait till big fat Ajax comes out, so you'd be able to put an impact template to cover whole fireteam.
Huh ...? He can be deployed either camoed (which gives him camo state and mimitism, but only till he is in marker state), either having decoys... Anyway, thanks for report...remined me my beginning in INfinity...I remember those 3 monthes of tortures, when I though "what a hell" or\and "I'd better sell all my miniatures and switch to some Kings of war or Malifaux (their rules are so much clear)"
Ehehehe! I'm still struggling how to deal with that Team, and to be more focussed when deployng troops with "special" equipment, like visors or mimetism. Deployment and place is really more important than other games here i think! Plus i've the fear that having a lot of "fluffy" unit just to pump up the order pool is not so usefull if i have to face strong Team like these
