I'm coming back to Infinity after a long period of playing other games and I really like the new stuff, rules changes all of it. Very cool. So I unpacked my old Yu Jing and looked at them and... ugh. I'm disappointed.

Help me out here. What do I need to do to make these pop? An accent color, probably, or two. Higher highlights, I think? Not sure what to do with the bases. Can I save them without stripping them? They don't need to win a painting tournament or anything, just be less ugh.

Higher highlights and some bright red accents would go a long way. You could probably give them some resin bases, which could add a lot, or do a heavy foliage jungle look to add a lot of color as well.

Sounds good, Balewolf! I tried your suggestions here... well, not the jungle bases, but the other stuff. I do like it a lot better than I did.

I find red difficult to highlight. Also these big photos really bring out the nasty layered paint and clumsy brushstrokes. :o\

Thanks, mate! I need to get out to the LGS and stop comparing myself to the champion painters on here. :)
