This is among things i can not understand. Why the taglike unit Ratnik has wounds ? has to be Str instead. Also situation seems weirder in an army full of engineers. what will all these engineers fix at the end ? irmandinhos, frotovniks, dozers can only fix the states which i find little bring boring.
So argument here is i guess if it is a mecha or not. I can see that machines can be repaired not the humans.
I would advise you to put it in the Army Bugs Thread, I think it will be the easiest way to clarify if it has Wounds or should have Structure.
Those units are really just big HI, some armor plating and servos over a squishy human inside, so it has W like most HI that aren't fully robotics (Karakuri, Hollow Men, etc...). Arguably the same logic should apply for manned TAGs, but there's probably a point where you have to make gaming concessions. As to engineers, most military engineers today are not repairmen or mechanics but demolitions experts with technical expertise in blowing shit up. Who takes down a bridge or an underground tunnel network? The engineering units. In infinity, that's represented by D-Charges and generally a higher WIP than non specialists.
Spot on. Probably a manned TAG can be hand waved by saying the pilots compartment is up armored enough to make wounds to the driver a low enough probability that Str still makes sense. Additionally the Blackjack has always been wounds. If it was a typo there it would have been corrected by now. I’m 100% positive the Ratnik should be wounds and not structure. Whether you agree is up to you, but mechanic wise I don’t think it’s a misprint.
