What happens to the Antipode, when the DD dies ? Is it just removed from the field, or does it stay and fight ?

A special case could be the following: DD and Antipode are both in close combat against the same opponents. The DD dies, but the Antipode is still engaged (and could keep on fighting)... What happens ?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum!

As per the Peripheral rule: https://infinitythewiki.com/Peripheral
    • If the Controller enters any Null State, the Peripheral will enter Disconnected State at the end of that Order.
So at the end of the Order in which the Devil Dog fell Unconscious or Dead, the Antipode enters Disconnected State. So it won't be able to use Orders, or AROs, and as Disconnected is a Null State this triggers the cancellation bullets for Engaged State and it won't even be in CC any more.

Basically, it just stands there like a statue, howling for it's dead friend.
