Hello all. My Pokémon syndrome won’t let me rest. I must have all characters/minis for a faction but seem to have missed a window on one for Aleph. As the above topic post reads, any ideas for a proxy for Nesaie Alke since she’s OOP? I’d like to get as close to her mini as possible and will happily buy several minis to convert up. Thanks in advance for the help and suggestions!
I'd hold off a month, the Gen Con seminar is the first Saturday of August and we'll likely see some non-C1 characters for the Steel Phallus previewed then.
Interesting… you think my boy Ajax will make an appearance? Been waiting for ages to see his new mini since the artwork was seen. It’d be sweet to get some updated space Greeks too.
Ajax is guaranteed. I think it was in the previous studio update when they had concept art for him. But as a thicc s5 he is going to be shitcast 99.99%. Thats why I got myself the OOP one.
The OOP one is over £100 on eBay… even my Pokémon syndrome has limits. I’ve not had bad luck with siocast so far (admittedly I’ve not had that many minis in it) but I suppose there’s a first time for everything. Knowing my luck it’ll be Ajax that’s got issues, lol.
My top would be: - Lizard pilot - HAZMAT A1 SPECIALIST - Major from jsa box Hazmat seems like an easiest option - you just need a spitfire arm and a visor (there's probably stls for these nowadays). And probably a sheathed sword. Oh... or get an anaconda pilot, sheathed sword and figure out how to make longer hair. That one seems like a trivial conversion too.
They said last year that the first Post-C1 release would be a Myrmidon box (which I speculate will probably include a character) but a Thorakitai SWC box with Alke wouldn't surprise me at all.
Depends what you like in the model. If you, for example, aren't huge on boob plate and combat heels the new one is better.
I have not! I wasn’t aware of its existence as I eschew Facebook like it’s going to give me the plague. I have no excuse for not discovering the discord one though. Many thanks, I’ll ask there. My feelings on the historical and practical use of boob armour is well documented on this forum and I shall not go into detail again. I will look forward to the new mini but I’ll keep an eye out for the old one in the meantime.
