    I feel like pulling out my QK army for a couple games, but I tend to always lean into a Djanbzan fire team. I can use a couple new ideas. I've got most of the sectoral, and only use the Tags if there is a scenario that specifically needs one. I can use some ideas. Fiddler gives QK a couple new options, but I always lean heavily on the core. Since the Yuan Yuan nerf I found them less enticing.

    It has al the necessities - a good defensive Haris, a TR HMG bot for area denial, a Camo Skirmisher to open up attack vectors, and a togh-as-nails Core of Janissaries.
    Not really subtle, but effective and to-the-point.

    Of course, this the reinstatement of the "I can't really think today" list that was with me since back in N2.
    It is - in N4 - way more flexible, also if one would like to switch things in and out (and eg. save a few points somewhere to put in a Janissary HMG)...

    I'd love to share, but as I only won 4 games out of 21 so far, i feel I can't contribute much. (although my main problem is not lists themselves but deployment and choosing when to fight or flee).

    Two lists that I won fairly were for specific scenario so not sure how it relate to other scenarios.

    I won my 2nd of 3 games tournament, mission was Countermeasure (very classified oriented), list was Djan sniper core (with leila/rahman/hafzas); wild bill+KTS haris; scarface; 2 YY; warcor+flash pulse. It was a very bloody game and wild bill did a great job.

    I won my 2nd of 3 games tournament, mission was Power Pack (very strange deployment and saturation), list was Ghulam core (D+, EMine, two N2 panz, sekban spitfire); Azra'il+Rahman; two Djan SMMR, 3 hawwa, 2 YY. The hawwa were key in the mission to grab enemy console, but did get killed in the end :( I don't remember what Azra'il did, probably died on his flank.
    The Sekban did a great job. Ghulam panz were very usefull in ARO against the TAG. The YY managed to combat jump in enemy DZ to lock the TAG in CC. But most importantly, the hawwa hacker possessed the O-Yoroi deployed at his 16" line on my turn 1 order 1, which did a little of cheerkilling on turn 1, before he got it back on his turn 1. And if not for that it would have been a completely different game.

    I know YY got nerfed, haven't really them in N3 (i was playing bakunin then tunguska). I still think they are good at 8Pts even with only a single order when dropping (either the impetuous order during impetuous phase or their irr order during normal phase). They are also worth it when used as morlock (impetuous smoke on 16, chain rifle once close enough). They do cost a bit more in N4 (N3 morlock were 8pts) and while swapping metachem for booty, they lack martial art and BS (if they pick up a gun) is just 10. So yeah a bit too expensive compared to other faction if used purely as a smoke warband. But still worth it.

    I'd love for someone to explain to me how this is important if they were to drop in the Impetuous Phase instead during the main Order business. I do understand that they basically will arrive and then need orders from their combat group pool to proceed. Because I don't understand why if this is how it's supposed to work, they didn't just disallow use of Deployment skills during the Impetuous Phase entirely.

    Please PM this so I don't completely derail this thread.

    I don't think it will derail much. Thinking about it now that you mention it : since in both case they drop with their own order (imp or irr), and then requires order from the order pool to keep doing stuff. There is simply no reason to drop them impetuously, and there is no reason to not wait later during the turn.
    Only 2 edge case I can imagine: they can drop impetuously before other model do their impetuous activation. But as they can't drop in CC... maybe you want to bait some change facing dodges to clear the path for your already deployed imp model ? that would be a edge case. The other edge case is I often forget to drop parachutist during my turn as my attention is given to what i have on the table. So doing it as first order is just a habit.

    (In N3, you had to spend an Order to cancel your Impetuous order; with that rule gone, there is no reason to not wait for the regular order phase.)

    IN N3 my QK lists started with 2x YY and 2x Fanous in the second battle group. That used to generate 6 orders. From a game play perspective that usually meant 2 order to place them on the table in a safe place. Then 1-2 orders to move to attack position, then the couple last couple to actually attack.

    In N4, with the same models you have 2 order to place on the table, and then you only have 2 orders to do the move and attack. Its a lot harder to get optimal position with only those orders.

    The way I understand the the N4 rules for this is that the YY that is off the table generate 1 Irregular order that can ONLY be use to put them on the table. So even if you place them on the table in the impetuous phase that order can only be used for anything other that putting it on the table, which is why it 'wasted'. If you pass the impetuous phase with the YY it can use the order.

    Tell me if I got the ruling wrong, but that's the effect as I understand it.

    This is a reasonable general list. I lovee some Djans and have back in n3 sometimes deployed YYs on the table to make best use of their smoke and Djans MSV. I haven't played QK yet in n4 though. The core ft and shihab are defensive units. The yys and Al hawwas are first turn active pieces, whilst the rafiq and Harris are second turn active pieces, feeding orders to the first turn pieces and perhaps using excess orders to move into position.

    Midfield is swarmed with Hawwas, both of our main gunfighters are effectively 2W and cover different range bands, Azzie gets an NCO extra order, and we can even bring in a Yuan Yuan for some smoke or alpha strike. Alguaciles are just that extra cheap which helps if you wanna invest points into other units. Also a nice variety of specialists of all kinds. I purposefully avoided any Djanbazans because they're so good they tend to lure you into a trap of always fielding them, and they're expensive, you would be forfeiting some other nice toys if you make a Core of them, even if that Core has wildcards.

    Druze core with good hacking ability, reloadable pitchers (via kameel) and EM grenade launcher. The missile bot to use the spotlights (and an al hawwa FO to provide more), and kaplan harris to go ad kill stuff with wildbill. And perhaps unusually a mobile brigada LT to finish off the mercenary feel.

    @dijit I like your list. Also I think 1 YY with 3 cheap orders is the way to go in N4. I used to like having 2 YY so you can risk and air drop, but the N4 ruling makes it too order inefficient.

    How do you did @CalamarRojo in "looting and sabotage", goes Scarface well? And what about the haris?

    I lost by 2 points after my enemy manage to destroy one structure point of my antenna. Scarface got pinned by an enemy tag (the acontecimiento one, can't remember de name, with mimetism)

    The Haris team was my mvp, but, the djanzaban got down and the sekban doctor killed him.... Even using a reroll xD

    The Tikbalang, probably one of the Top 3 (TAG), at least in my opinion.

    About the doctor... is some kind of "curse". I have forget how many times the asawira doctor or avicena, going to 18s, have failed the "doctor's" roll.

    The dice are toys of chaos, but I'd like to know more about how the Tik pinned down your Scarface. Was he able to make a Berserk beeline towards him or was the Tik too far for that?

    too far for that and in supression mode.... so i had to ignore that side of the board ... until he got into move, managed to kill scarface but a fasnou stunned it (very lol situation) and got killed next turn by a ghulam with the shotgun.

    Shame! I'm yet to see Scarface's Berserk pay itself off in a game, he's using it surprisingly rare.
