Is the player2 use of a command token to Evo-hack a supportware program (eg. Fairy Dust) online at the start of player1’s first turn no longer a valid use in N5? Asking for a friend
No it wasn't. I know because I really wanted it to be a thing all throughout N4 and they never implemented it.
Dang, was it in N3 then? I remeber that, at some point, it was a thing. Either way, it sadly isn't now.
It was never a seasonal thing as far as I'm aware. But it was specifically a rule in N3. But for N4 it was the source of a fair amount of groaning because it feels like it really should have been there. I think CB wanted to prevent starting REMs with Marksmanship or Enhanced Reaction more then Fairy Dust. But I also don't see how they couldn't have wrote that we rule to specifically allow Fairy Dust for a command token just like how they allow for someone to go into Suppressive Fire. It really should be in the game, especially in N5 with how much better they made linked Pitchers.
It's in the N3 Human Sphere book on pg 92, it turns out. I know it was wish listed as a thing for N5. I'm surprised it didn't make it in the rules, actually.
