    Ok guys.
I'm into the endgame on the Evening Star orbital.
Has anyone else run Paradiso Countdown?

    Any advice?
    Things you would change?
    Stuff you added?

The biggest thing I'm certainly doing is upping the combat capability of basically everything from the printed base.
The PCs need to be scared of the Combined Army... especially Morats.

I had ran an expanded version of the Quickstart Scenario, even if NOT on the "Hyper-Enlarged" manner that You have done. . .

Not only I have "Built Upon" the extant Morat Vanguard Stats of the manual, but ALSO expanded upon the Speculo Killers of the "Terrorist Attack Section" to kitbash together Malignos (Stealth Trooper specialized in Melee), Cadmuses (tougher Armour, better Combirifle Guns, regenerating), Gwailo & Aswangs (stronger but clumsier than Speculos, armed with Glue Guns and Epoxy Grenade Launcher to calmly "Snack Upon" hapless catured Humans; even more Regen BUT tied to "Eating Hit points" from Still Livings / Fresh Corpses) and "Kamikaze" Seed Soldiers with Claymore Mines tied to their torsos (Warband of "Mooks" with Low Stats and Chainrifles). . .

As one of My character was a Makaul Warrior acting as "In-Between Bodyguard" that befriended the Human Team, then I reverse-engineered the Stats of the Tohaa Soldiers to have Sygmaa Elite Special Forces (Heavy Symbiont Armour, Guns with Viral Ammo) going directly for gruesome assassination of the Tohaa Diplomates. . .

As for the Morats from the extant Vanguard Stats then I kitbashed together Daturazi-Witches Warrior-Monks (lower Armour but more inured to Pain [Resistance Skill Talents] with lower Ballistics, used only for Chainrifles and Boarding Shotguns; Smoke Grenades for covering their Advance to go for the melee-kill with High CC and Monoblades); Sogarat Tempests (Heavy Infantry Armour and Combirifle with Flamers OR H.M.G.) and finally a very lethal Oznat "Elder Hunt Mistress" (Half-Naked but IMMUNE to Pian) with Gakis. . .

That last one (Boss Battle) was reverse-engineered by the Antipode Controller + Antipode Pack from Ariadnan Stats; as the best fighter of the Players was the "Invisible" Hashashin (that seemed a DIRECT PORTING of Dungeons & Dragons "Thief Backstab" !!) then I made sure that Oznat Packmistress had a Vulkan Shotgun with Incendiary Ammo, when being the LAST LINE of Offence between the Players and the Escape Pod. . . . .!!

Also to have it more memorable the Oznat acted / behaved as a "Nautjia Predator" lying in ambush in the flaming, half-wrecked "Escape Pod Hall" and the Gakis were shamelessly "Ripped Of" from Aliens' Xenomorphs. . .

    . . . . .

Also I statted an "Elite Charontid" that was more-or-less a Nomads Gecko T.A.G. (with Pilot Stats from the Basic Manual Foes section) engaged in fierce battle with BOTH Saladin AND Sun-Tze (stats of a Pan-Oceanian Magister Knight with "Upped" Lhost Bodies) trying to block the Alien E.I. "Mini-Avatar" to connect with the exploding Space Station Mainframe to raid it of useful Human Sphere Intel. . .

But the Character were (perhaps VERY wisely) fearful of the confrontation and went away after JUST seeing it from afar for a couple of Rounds; they were QUITE frightened by Sepsitor Usage, after I made them mercifully mow down some hapless Station Security that were "Unlucky" in previous encounters with the Pseudo-Charontid (it was in reality a G.M. Ploy to have the less-armed Character loot the Stat-Sec corpses of Riot Armour, Assault Pistols and Light Shotguns, as some P.C. had unwisely left their "Big Gear" in their Barracks, for Social Mingling Purposes !!)
    . . . . .

Not only this, but the Game continued for a couple of sessions with the Player Characters escorting the Tohaa Diplomat in their charge THROUGH the "Paradiso Greenhell" No-Mans' Land; it was a sort of "Crossbreed" between the aforementioned Predators Movies (as further Oznats with Gaki Packs were tailing them trough the Jungle) and various "Vietnam War Movies". . .

The Moirae Character had the BRILLIANT idea to have the Tohaas (P.C. and N.P.C. alike) to "Amp Up" their Pheromone Emissions when entrenched in a windswept hill in the middle of the Jungle; the "Hopeless Infinit Hordes Assault" was cut short (at the last minute) by the timely arrival of an Elite Cavalry Squadron of Tohaa Gorgos (Basic Manual Stats of the Guijia, enhanced by Symbiont Armour Rules) drop-launched by the grateful Tohaa High Command (that were able to follow the "Pheromone Spoor" even from High Orbit). . . . .!!!

    . . . . .

Keep in Mind that some of the more light armed Player Characters started to loot the corpses of fallen foes NOT ONLY for "Spare Reloads" (as is suggested in the Scenario) but also for "Bigger Guns"; I allowed the Ariadnan Dogwarrior Character to easily cope with the Morat "Gun Alieness" (as Morats and Ariadnans BOTH employ "Vintage" Cased Ammunition, whose High Calibre evince High Recoil) but ONLY after the Moirae Hacker P.C. had "Rewrote" the Identification Chips in the Gun Grips. . .

    Sweet, thanks for the tips.

I'm planning on milking the climax for all that I can. The intention is to basically have our entire Saturday game just dealing with that.

We'll see how it plays out.
