I'm playing the Paradiso campaign currently in german. Mission 301 Countdown mentiones that Airborne Deployment an "mobile Einheiten" (mobile Units in english) are not allowed.

Now I cant find this rule in the ruelbook or Army. Can anybody tell me what the relevant Skill in the english Rulebook is or knows what is meant by mobile Units?

My best guess would be forward deployment.

It's that from the old Paradise book? Because that's not what it says in
    Daedalus' Fall

It has an exclusion zone where nothing can deploy and some special rules for how far forward deployment can deploy and the name of the mission is "Countdown run"

I think the old document refers to Mechanised Deployment, and I *think* that Forward Deployment didn't exist back then.

Correct, I'm relating to the old Paradiso Campaign book. We play that first and Dedalus when we finished that so we get the whole story.

Mission name Countdown run sounds correct (I only have the german Version).

According to the exclusion zone I got it. And the restrictions to infiltration are clear as well. My colleague want's to field a Unit with the Skill Mechanized Deployment and I got the feeling this skill is not allowed.

But in my argumentation are two Problems. The campaign states in german Version "mobile Einheiten" (translated "mobile Units"). This is never mentioned in the german rulebook. So I'm trying to find the proper english name of the skill to guess what is meant ;)

Thing is Daedalus' Fall book has two campaigns in it, the first is an updated version of the Paradiso campaign and the second is the actual Daedalus' Fall campaign. So you are better off using just the Daedalus' Fall book.

Oh, good to know. But I'm not getting it quickly.

Does the Daedalus Fall say anything to Mechanized Deployment in that Mission? If Yes, what?

Only that is it can't be used to deploy inside the exclusion zone.

Yes, it's mechanised deployment. Forward deployment didn't exist as a skill yet when Paradiso for N2 was written.

    Ok thx.

Conclusion he can use mechanized deployment with a PH/Wi roll like infiltration.

It actually states that airborne deployment and mechanised deployment are not allowed.
