So I wanted to use the EVO Hacking remote Panggunling since I've never see anyone use them. I want to take full advantage of benefits to use guided, lots of remotes and speculative fire. Also figured the easiest way to Target a unit was Spotlight so opted for Hackers and thinking a coordinated strike would increase chances. Lot's moving parts and I'm still trying to wrap my head around the strategy so I'm open to ideas and suggestions.

If I go first: Move remotes up total cover and use smoke as needed to get into ZoC. Use repeater and Coordinate Strike Spotlight unit to gain targeted. Rain Missiles and Grenades. Can also boost Rui Shi with Assisted Fire as needed if the opportunity presents itself.

If I go second: Use Overclock so all remotes gain B2 at least and set up ARO shooting. Keep Hackers safe and Hack ARO as needed. I figure I'd form a core fireteam with Celestial Guard as well to gain extra Burst.

I only have the three Hackers as button pushers so may need to scale back the remotes to add more specialist.

Guided missiles are already a pretty janky gimmick to begin with, and ISS is just not on the list of factions I'd consider capable of doing it competently. Turning Kuang Shi into target points is a cute gimmick, but your opponent will see it coming from a mile away, and your odds of getting one up all the way across the table to be useful are pretty slim.

Honestly, leave stuff like this to Nomads, USAriadna, or Druze. You are heavily compromising your ability to reliably control the midfield to pull any of this off, and that's supposed to be one of the things ISS is brutally good at.

Well, that's an "Out of the box" list _ so I would expect the list to not be a typical ISS one to be fair.

    Let's see.

You need something to use those orders in group 2 and you probably want a reliable smoke source. I don't think 4 Hackers is necessary, you can probably manage with 2 which means 3 gives redundancy. As such I suggest turning one Hacker to a KSCD in group 1.
As noted, the idea of turning a Kuang Shi into a Repeater is iffy, but the SML isn't bad at all. With B2 it makes for a decent ARO piece and if you stick both Weibing (and preferably a Chaiyi) in the same group you can get a pretty good Sniffer coverage for Sat-Locking.
Having 10 orders in group 2 should probably be less of a priority than having useful pieces in there.
Also remember that a Lu Duan is humongous, use that to your advantage when activating Holoecho state - they can act like a poor man's Pitcher by Holoechoing the real trooper (with the repeater) into range of a Repeater to avoid having your REM fried and allowing your Hackers to destroy the comms equipment.

Now, I've run lists like this before. It works really well. It's extremely time consuming though, so be careful. Also requires favourable boards where you can either hide large amount of large units or where you can set up a large amount of Supportwared REM ARO. In other words it works on very crowded or very clear boards (against opponents who forgot their Kamau/Nisse/Djanbazan sniper)

I don't feel its an ITS list but maybe mixed with other elements it could be. @Mahtamori can you post an Army list that worked so I can gleam some insight?

I used the guided missile gimmick at my first tournament and I caught 2 of my games off-guard as they had never come across this tactic.

I'm sorry, I can't get it to copy to clipboard on my phone. But try reducing number of Kuang Shi by 2, put one Lu Duan in G2, the Weibing in G1, change TR Panggo to Xi, change CG Hacker to CG KSCD, add Chaiyi to G1, move EVO to G2 and add a Specialist Operative CSU to G1. You should have 10 orders in main group, 9 in G2 if I didn't miss something. Should also have enough stuff to drive your orders with and a small bit of redundancy in CG bodies as well as a bit of assassination protection from the Koalas (your LT is super obvious)

It'll be a hard list to play, but not as hard as a JSA motorcycle list.

What about using a Kan-Ren Sniffer along with the Weibing, get people marked through sensor instead of Hacking!

Also, if you really want to use all the bonuses EVO confers, why not go ahead and add a Garuda? Fits the theme and gets a +3 on his PH roll for deploying this would allow you to punish an extended link or a badly set Deployment zone, consider boarding Shotgun Profile instead of a Hacker.

Vanilla YJ can competently run guided fire as well.

Turning Kuang Shi into guided missile bombs is a solid trick but you want to do it as a reaction to your opponent's strategy rather than planning a list around it.

For example you attempt to attack a Myrmidon link with your Rui Shi and they manage to get an eclipse grenade off with Machaon and place it all over the Myrmidons to prevent them from being harassed any further, or you attempt to shoot someone controlling a console and they drop smoke on themselves to protect themselves. The Kuang Shi can then be used to punish this by running into your opponent's smoke to biolocate, then you launch the missiles.

My outside the box ISS that I used to do didin't have the fantastic new SMG Bounty Hunters. But it was a lot of fun to play even before.
