    Per title, here is what the Wiki has;
    OSS links2.jpg

    But it is missing any reference to the Sophotect Special as listed on the Ava chart shown at a previous Con and in Carlos' video;
    41423875_260710821441998_1996568358463471616_n.jpg

    Additional -
Can the two Special Fireteams for Dakinis be mixed? ie Dakini + Deva + CSU (and + Samekh for that matter)?

The Wildcard link on Samekh is that truly valid for *any* Fireteam? Meaning it can duo with CSU and ABH if you want?

For the fifth or sixth time, the chart in the video was not the final version. :-(

As usual the Fireteam list on the wiki is the most up-to-date and accurate source for Fireteam options.

So no, there is no Fireteam option for the Sophotect.

For Dakinis, the CSU is just an add-on to any Dakini Fireteam, so can be added to a Core of Dakinis and Devas.

'Wildcard' troopers can be part of any Fireteam, period.

So can I link Yadu, Asura and Rudra ?

What makes a "Yadu Fireteam", Yadu must be a profile with Harris or can it be Asura with Harris ?

Is Yadus + Asura listed under the Fireteams for Yadus? Yes.

Shakti can be form haris teams too. But im not sure if you can put the Rudra with Asura on this haris, btw... you need the profiles can listed on the wiki i think, maybe the Rudra can't join. But if its OK this sample, that's awesome.

Yadu + Asura Haris is defined as 1 Asura + 2 Yadu, Yadu + Deva Haris is defined as 1 Deva + 2 Yadu. Rudras can join "any Yadu link" BUT nowhere does it state that a Rudras "counts as" a Yadu. Therefore, the Rudras technically can't join any link that isn't pure Yadu (Core, Haris, Duo) because it fails to meet the requirements of the Special teams.

It's kinda the same issue as with the CSU on the Dakini/Deva link - it doesn't "count as" a Dakini, so technically invalidates the definition of the fireteam. Can we get someone to clean up the language so that it is actually viable?

Solution - Up to 1 Rudras can join a Yadu link, counting as a "Yadu"
Up to 1 CSU may join a Dakini link, counting as a "Dakini"
Samekh - Wildcard needs to be worded such that "Replaces one of the required troops"

That's a bad solution because it's not how the rule works though, the Rudras can count as anything, as can the CSU.

We know this because they use identical language to Gromoz in DBS and HellLois has previously confirmed she can substitute for any named components of any links she can join.

But that isn't made clear in the "Can join any link" statement. Nor is there a rules entry or examples to provide the context you're now supplying. If HellLois has set that precedent, that's fine... but the Fireteam compositions are a hot mess right now.

I would say that if you can make a Yadu Haris (with the Yadu Haris or Shakti), it counts as a Yadu Link, allowing to add the Rudras. So you could make "Yadu Haris OR Shakti" + Rudras + Asura/Deva, I'd say.

The more interesting question is can you have a yadu haris of Asura, Rudras, Samekh? I assume yes (and wouldn't want to do it... but still...)

For the consistency sake I would say yes.

As multiple posters have pointed out, you are misreading it. The Rudras can be in ANY Yadu Fireteam. Not 'any fireteam made up purely of Yadus', but ANY Yadu Fireteam.

The way you're reading it would make the Fireteam instructions literally impossible to use.

Ikari created this trend of Fireteams with exact composition requirements. The way it is written precludes the Special Fireteams from having a Rudras. That is the whole point. Perhaps you and CB need to start expanding the Fireteam rules to start accounting for all these new strict requirements that apply 1 second and are thrown out the window the next.

I get that the intention is that I could opt into Rudras/Yadu/Deva or Rudras/Yadu/Asura - but what has been presented as rules doesn't appear to support it. I'm not asking you to rule them invalid - I'm asking you to clean up the language and rules premise that they are built on.

EDIT - To expand - a Haris team can only have 3 members. This is an established rule of Haris Fireteams composition. I can't choose to add a Rudras as a 4th member on the back of "Can join any Fireteams" because that breaks established rules for how that Fireteam is composed. If you make "Wildcard Trooper" an official rule, explaining that it "counts as" another valid member of the link - you then make the Rudras a "Wildcard Trooper" in Yadu links, the CSU a "Wildcard Trooper" in Dakini links, and the tag of "Wildcard Trooper": OperationS Fireteams for the Samekh, which now actually means something as an established rule, rather than a totally rad and completely pointless tag that sits in between "Special Fireteam" and the explanation of what the rule is.

The only hang up to this then becomes when CB starts creating Wildcard troopers that can join any link, except in these situations... :face_with_rolling_eyes:

@paraelix I've already had this argument with IJW. What it boils down to is that a Fireteam by definition is a strongly specified list of units that may join the Fireteam and that the only way for this Fireteam notation to function - at all - within the rules is that a Wildcard trooper replaces a single individual of any given Fireteam formation or requirement.

The only alternative is that a Wildcard joins a Fireteam as an extra member, but that quickly becomes absurd when 3 Veteran Kazaks have joined a Duo to form a 5-man Duo... and that goes against the rules of the Duo skill.

So to do a TL;DR - Yes it's unfortunate that Wildcard doesn't specify that the Wildcard trooper replaces a member of a Fireteam, but that's how it works and we can but live with it.

No, Onyx started it with 1 Samaritan and 2 Xeodrons. Or arguably the N2 version of Joan + Knights.

Also, see @Mahtamori's post. You can choose to read the rule so that it doesn't work at all (not even for a pure Yadu Fireteam), or you can choose to read the rule so that it works.

I'd say no, since the Samekh would need to replace the Yadu with Haris, because if you use the Asura with Haris then it is not a Yadu Haris Fireteam, but an Asura Haris Fireteam, and there the Samekh can't be. And if you replace the Yadu Haris, you have no Haris to create the Fireteam in the first place.

Nevermind, missed that Rudra is not wildcard.

Except that it is still a Yadu haris under the definition of Yadu Haris', just with both yadu replaced. Just as Samekh/CSU/Deva is a valid Dakini link - because these rules are a mess.

Edit - The requirements under the Yadu Fireteams is for Deva + 2 Yadu or Asura + 2 Yadu - it never stipulates which model has to have Fireteam:Haris.

If you replace all the Yadu, where is the Haris skill? You cannot form a Haris without a trooper with the Haris skill. As soon as your remove the Yadu with Haris skill it cannot be a Yadu Haris link, regardless of any 'counts as' or 'may join'. This is baked into the Haris rules themselves and there's nothing about may join or counts as or wildcard that would override it.

Now, if you want to make your Yadu Core be a Shakti, a Samekh, and a Rudra, that's totally legal, because each of them may join or counts as a Yadu for fireteam composition and you don't need a trooper with a special skill to form a Core.
