This is something I posted in the the Kurage crisis, but thought I'd share what I plan to do with my new PanOceania scheme with a backstory to them. I am painting a dark blue/slightly camouflage green scheme to mirror the colors of Tri-Optium from the System Shock series. The name I am using as a general banner is the Tri-Indigo Strategic Resources Group, an PMC funded by Hexahedron to fight for the interests of the Hyper-Power with ‘plausible deniability’ and less legal constraints. Here is a sample of what I have done for now. Starting with the Fusilier Operators from left to right: Michael Brannigan is an Australian native to Varuna, growing up swimming and playing Scuball in High School (or what would be the equivalent) in NeoCanberra. After graduating, he joined the PanOceanian Military Complex on the Paradiso front but stationed somewhat away from the main front for most of the time. He joined the Tri-Indigo group as a means to explore the human sphere. The hacker is Gunther Hausgen, an graduate from Clausewitz for his info-war specialization with Drone warfare. Passing with high marks, Tri-Indigo was quick to scout him out and offer him a position. Brittany Giovanni is what you would have called a spoiled rich girl..if it was not for the accident that killed her best friend and the lives of several ateks back on Sybaris back on Neoterra. Having enough of her behavior, Brittany’s father gave her an ultimatium: get bail and join the PanOceania military to clean up your act or rot in a jail cell. This also served as a wake-up call to her, in which she joined the military with a stoic facade to hide her less than stellar past. Tri-Indigo offered her a position after she successfully held back an Combined Army incurison back on Paradiso. Marja Korhonen is a veteran of the Japanese Uprising on Novvy Cimmeria and hailing from Niflhiem, Slavarheima. Seeing all of her squad ruthlessly massacred by the Yu Jing forces while protecting the Japanese, she swears vengeance against the StateEmpire, with each bullet with no name but with the writing in her native tongue ‘To the bastards it will concern’. Only then, will she leave Tri-Indigo and go into the Nisse training program. Starting from left to right: Rainhart Gossermann comes from a military family, so his entrance into the PanOceanian Military was expected. While he speaks harshly and critically of the other Operators, most view him as an older brother who is looking out for them and wants them to be better. Kristina Kujikawa, like Tanako and others, is a daughter of a Japanese refugee who had fled to Varuna. However, she tends to have a more cheerful outlook on the situation even if she is slightly naive. While she is well-meaning, she tends not to be great in social situations, but nonetheless she helps her team in time of need. Michel ‘Rocket’ Colombo is the heavy weapons specialists of the Fusilier operatives, with the scars to boot. Seeing the brutality of the aliens first-hand back on Paradiso, he swore that he would take every last Combined Army monster down where ever he saw one. Though some worry about this fondness with “Bretta”, his missile launcher. A veteran of the Commerical Conflicts, Chege Otieno is considered a father figure to most of the operatives. While he certainly looks old, the rest of the operatives are rather impressed how well he can outrun the others. While he sports a grim expression, those who get to know him know that he is a kind soul. Hexa Agent HB-47 (Known Alias: Kyra ‘Calamity Jane’ Haussen) was a premier net gunslinger on offer by Hexahedron before joining the Tri-Indigo Strategic Resource Group. Her ability to deal with cyber threats with such a snarky and casual manner can be off-putting to the rest of the Operators, considering the rumors HB-47 was involved in a particular incident at the human edge that resulted in the brain death of a few investors and their cyber-security detail that were sympathetic to the Nomad nation.
