So I guess we're also getting the next port from Aristeia. That said, how's she looking in DBS? It means that we now have dropbears which is nice as I know that we often struggle with flank defense, is she too expensive to plonk down on a flank with her jackbots?
As far as I am concerned, Fiddler is Peacemaker on steroids. That said, I do not see her as a flank defender, at least not on turn 2. She wants to get into the midfield and melt everything with her jackbots.
She's class, a 6-4 pseudo 2W specialist with huge area denial pieces attached to her. She's great for hosing a large area with fire and also sticking those bots on corners or objectives to force enemy order expenditure or bad aro decisions
Dodging on 15s makes that 42 point cost a lot easier to swallow. She's great, similar kind of use to Scylla or Drakios, with bots that have Explode. Pretty killer defensive profile.
Tactics question (never been clear on this): How does the "drop bear around the corner trick" work? Ex. Fiddler and a Jackbot are around a corner, of LoF/LoS from an enemy. Fiddler declares a short order move and idles, while the Jackbot looks around corner and into LoF of enemy. The enemy idles. Fiddler declares Attack and throws a Drop Bear, while the Jackbot declares shoot. Enemy has to pick between shooting (taking a drop bear hit) or dodging (and taking shots from both)... Or does it require two orders? Order 1: Fiddler idles and then chucks a drop bear Order 2: Fiddler idles and the Jackbot pops out, Enemy delays, Jackbot shoots, Enemy has to choose Or... something else?
It's the two order option. Mine or something is already down and then you pop out, forcing the choice of dodge vs everything or shoot and take the hit from the mine
I think just having a fast specialist alone is worth it for those that get her. Even her profile without jackbots is good.
Guys she's no joke! I got my ass handed to me by her on the weekend when I was playing my White Banner. We did Loot and Sabotage. She just climbed over buildings, bots killed most of my defenders. When they got hit she'd just fix them up. She then proceeded to destroy the AC2 unit with D-Charges. It was ridiculous. She's the new Rambo.
Yes. Either she or the other bot was in the blast area I think. But It's something to pay attention to.
ehm... The SKILL is activated nonetheless. It's just the attack that is cancelled. So the Bot goes Unconscious, it does not explode due to friendlies, then it is remover as per Explode rule.
This is how I have been playing it. Explode is an obligatory skill, but the template generated by the explode is cancelled if it affects a friendly model.
I think I agree after reading it. It still goes to dead. The template just doesn't happen. So it shouldn't have been as bad as it was but she's still pretty mean.
