    Hi,

I´m new to Infinity and Aleph. The look of OSS really got me and I want to start to get them on the table..

Since there are so many profiles, what would you veterans suggest to buy first. Coldfront and the beyond package? Where to go from there?

Since the OSS army is one of the newer factions as my friend told me, are there any usable tactics for a beginner?

Thanks to all for helping me out :)

First Coldfront and beyond, then Dart, dakini swc box, post humans v2 box and perhaps a garuda spitfire.

Also usually you will use rebots box and maybe support box (sofotect and netrods plus yudbots)

I'd get Rebots and Support Pack sooner rather than later.

First, for a new player to play vanilla (generic, or Aleph with both greeks and vedics, in this case) is more recommended, but I will list OSS stuff only. Also, remember CB's "partner stores" (the physical ones you can find near your place) tend to have cheaper prices (by 5-15%, plus you save on mail). I will link to the official CB's store, however, so you have a reference.

Finally, if you have Aristeia, those models can be used as proxies for Infinity miniatures too (relevant for Dart, for example...).

As for what to buy, at this moment you need to buy Coldfront and Beyond Coldfront, since there is no separate starter box for sale (same for the Russians). You will want to use the Apsaras and Shakti on a lot of games.
For my part, I cut part of the Naga's sniper rifle and a Dakini's combi (the one pointing up) to convert them into a sniper Dakini and a Combi naga (legal profiles).

If you have no other Aleph miniatures, then you will have to buy the 3xDakini + Deva box and the Support Pack box for Aleph.

After you got all that, you are covered for all the basics of OSS with currently available models, so you can leave everything I will write now for later.

Rebot box, because you need the 8pts ones, or the Total Reaction, or the Specialists... I prefer the old, more spidery sculpts (same name, more round) and Probot box (but I prefer to use Haqquislam's Kameels as Probots, which is allowed). These two boxes are the top of the second list.
Warcor, be it ye olde guy or the Pantene model girl (I have both, so I can call them wathevs XD), are not a must must, but for 3 points they can really bother a lot your opponent. They are a nuisance (for the enemy), and one of the best ones: whatever he does, it's to your advantage.

Garuda Tacbot, because it's the only AD trooper you can have here, and it's a beast. Forget the Spitfire one, the boarding shotgun (BSG) and Combi versions are good enough to perform.
Dart is quite the catch, but I don't really like this sculpt (I prefer much more the one in Aristeia). You can use her as herself or as a second Naga, since there is no nagas currently being sold outside of Coldfront (you might be able to find the old sculpts in stores, however, and are good).
Dasyu troops, currently in Blister 1 (female) and Blister 2 (male), since it is doubtfull you will need more than 2 (and the sniper one is out of the picture, because posthumans).
Posthumans Box 1 and Box 2. Not a great catch, frankly. Better grab some other model you like to pose as Mk1 (the Datcyls from the Steel Phalanx are good stand-ins... and not used for much else, frankly), Mk2 (sniper or hacker... the Dasyus are a no-brainer if you want male proxies), Mk4 (I use a female Wu Ming with heavy rocket launcher, from Yu Jing, with the second head from the Chandra Specops) and Mk5 (I use Uxia cover Action).
The Danavas hacker is also interesting, but more in Vanilla where she brings the cheaper top toolbox. She is usefull in OSS however, paired with the Mk4 or Mk2 sniper to hunt enemy MultiSpectral Visors.
The Deva Box is not a must per se, but gives you more Devas and, more importantly, the Devabots, so you can use one of those guys with the bots as Arjuna's proxy (no model released yet).

I am in a similar position as OP; I have the Coldfront and Beyond Coldfront box, but I also bought the Post-Human Mk1-3 box. I'll definatly follow the advice given here.

I didn't realize the Aristeia! miniatures followed the same scale as Infinity; that's awesome! I assume the Dart Box is this one? https://store.corvusbelli.com/boardgames/aristeia/expansions/human-fate

@xagroth has you covered. Just piling on a bit:

Posthumans box 1 was a pain to put together. Posthumans are worth gluing your fingers together a few times though. Proxy route is a great suggestion.

The Dakini box gives you more options, nice models too. And a msv2, spitfire wielding Deva. Was my first purchase after Beyond CF.

Support box is great. Yudbots and Netrods, good stuff. Got to get a Netrod to go with your Apsara...

Rebots box is another essential. Old models or new.
