What do you think about the new season for the pathfinders? They have now the marksmanship and ecm -3 plus tactical awareness.
The ones that were already seeing play (Radiq, Pi-Well) are now ridiculously good. The ones that weren't seeing play (every other ones) might actually start being used now. Is it enough to counteract the sniffer nerf? We'll see!
I think it's Druze that gets up to 3! I think it's really good because that's three regular orders you can now use for something else. Plus they are just really useful.
A good way to see it, though with diminishing returns after the first one, maaaaybe two I think, if compared to basic cheeleader troops’ ability to conserve points for your heavy hitters. If you have a cheap/light list already though, could definitely be a big gain to add 3 Tac Aware orders. Tangentially, gonna be a hard season for camp-heavy forces. Coordinated Sensor x 3 or 4 is a lot of coverage.
Hadn’t thought about this, but a season of ITS focused on trialing bringing back or changing some equipment might work well. It would be a nice counterpoint to the unit-type-focussed changes of the last few years (all the way back to TAGline, really). Sniffers, deactivator tweaks, maybe something else- plenty of rules for a single season.
We don’t have to use evo’s to give them marksmanship because they will come automatically and also have ecm -3 to help block from incoming hacker attacks
I've been using a couple in my lists lately and they're performing extremely well! Big fan of having a couple Pathfinders in my group 2 this season for sure.
