Hey guys. Me and a friend picked up infinity around the time operation Icestorm was released so I guess we are not technically new. However despite really enjoying the game we never really went past playing the starter set. I am pleased to say that we now have a complete table full of terrain that looks really awesome when its all laid out. We play every few weeks when we can. Currently I am playing PanO (with a lean to neo terran) and he is playing Nomads (Bakunin) and Aleph. Its great we can play against each other but it would be nice to reach out and find some players in our local area if only to experience playing against more factions but mostly to meet other people who love this game too! :) If any of you know any groups that regularly play Infinity near Worcester/Birmingham we would be super interested. I have seen that Firestorm run events in Cardiff occasionally which I plan to go to but its rather a long journey for weekly play. One last thing. I am really into sci-fi fiction and I love some of the themes and ideas expressed in Infinity. Is there any fiction published set in the Infinity universe? You know like the GW backed novels? I would be interested in reading more ^^ Thanks!
There is a UK Infinity the Game Facebook group that's pretty active, I'd ask on there as well, possibly the Infinity Northern Alliance page as well. There's no Infinity novels but there is a comic/Manga called Outrage available, and the print rulebooks contain a whole host of background. There is also the RPG by Modiphius Entertainment which only really has the core released at the moment but that's well over 400 pages with a significant chunk devoted to the fluff of the setting.
