For a new player (me) looking to buy some Pan-O stuff that links to the Kaldstrom set....

    • which things can I buy now that will most likely fit with this set?
    • are there any safe buys?
    • will it be a whole new sectorial?
    Thanks!

1+2) Not sure yet, we'll know for certain by the end of the month when army builder launches.

Guesses would be Nisse, Jotums, and probably the Fusilier SWC box.

I would normally also say remotes and the support box, but they're rumoured to have resculpts on the way!

    3) Yes, it's the long awaited Svalarheiman Sectorial, though we don't yet know if it will release with C1, or if it's being saved for N4 in August, Code One itself will not have Sectorials.

    Hi there

Ad 1) PanO starter. It'll give you another ORC, Nisse sniper, and more Fusiliers. The only trooper that probably won't fit is the Akal paratrooper, which can be traded away.
Ad 2) PanO starter, Fusilier SWC box, ORC box, basic remotes, probably support pack. The latter two might or might not get a resculpt this year, but if you like the sculpts there's no downside to getting them now.
Ad 3) @colbrook said what we know so far, I have nothing to add here.

Probably, their headquarters is on Svalarheima.

I don't want to say for sure until we see something concrete. We've seen things change before (Tiger Soldiers were originally part of Invincible Army, for example).

Luckily CB should be putting out videos in the next couple of weeks to answer some of these questions.

Don't buy anything. Wait for the box, then go from there.

I think Nisse at the very least is a very safe bet – outside of that, the ORC box and the fusilier SWC box is also a good buy.

I would hold off on buying the Jotum it's quit old so they might resculpt it.

We are looking at a completely new set of rules, sculpts and possible profile changes with Code One and (later) N4.
I'd second Kanluwen and advise not to buy anything until Kaldström is released. It's only 3 weeks to Adepticon, so might as well wait.

If you desperately want to get going and are not adverse to playing Vanilla PanO, Joan of Arc is as safe a buy as it gets. Other recent (read: safe) and useful units would be Zulu Cobra Jammer and a single Helot, if you can find one seperately (@ShaeKonnit is a great resource for single miniatures). Just be aware that probably none of these will be in the Svalarheima sectorial, except maybe Joan.

    Thanks for all the responses.

I'm probably going to grab Varuna in the meantime so ill buy some of that stuff and if it crosses over - all the better!

It very likely won't cross over into Svalarheima...but Code One purportedly doesn't have Sectorials as its focus.

Just relax and wait for Adepticon, then you'll probably be able to snag some kind of bundle via Corvus Belli and other retailers.
