Here it is, folks. An official PanO paint set complete with an exclusive Fusilier Forward Observer. What do you guys think?
I totally love the model! Maybe, I'll acquire the set just because of that, although I do not use official scheme.
Well. I can't imagine a universe where I don't own that mini. So I guess I'll do my best to make that happen. I sure don't plan to repaint my 100+ PanO minis though. Cool to actually see the kit for a Forward Observer though. It's actually a lot easier to imagine how a Flash Pulse works, seeing it underslung and weapon-mounted like that. I sure wouldn't want a huge military-grade laser shined in my eyes either.
Damn well that sucks I don’t see any new paints in there was really hoping for at least a PanO blue if no other new colors. At least the mini looks cool
Since I did not paint a single mini yet this will make a nice start for my paint collection. Will this be a limited edition?
There's no indicator that it's Limited Edition, but since this is pretty much an experimental product, there's no guarantee it'll be around forever. There's probably not any super-urgency to buy, but I probably wouldn't wait too long either.
I like that it's a completely unessential mini, I already have 5 models that can be fielded as a Fusilier FO. There's no FOMO on not buying the set. Having said that, the mini looks great, and it comes with (for me) useful colours, so I'll probably grab the set.
For sure, it's great that it's a completely non-critical sculpt. Good for collectors, great for someone buying PanO for the first time, features a unique look and something special from an aesthetic perspective, but 100% optional.
Interesting that theyve put the hacker visor on him.... Makes me think i dont need to bother converting my croc man AHD that much for it to be a reasonable FO proxy
I already have plans to headswap the Croc AHD's head, press-mold the FO attachment on the Combi, and get myself a second perfect WYSIWYG Fusilier Forward Observer.
You can add a milspec laser box to the side of the combi if you really want. Those are technically laser sights, not laser-target-designators, but whatever. Actually, there is a 1/35 scale range from Dragon Models that has a number of various optics and other firearms accessories on it, including a trio of those milspec Laser units (and a pair of M203 grenade launchers). It's the various modern small arms kits. The specific sprue # is 00506/07005002, but I don't know if you can get it separately.
I'll have to see how my local distributor prices it, but I'm not super inclined to get it. I had little time to paint and even less to play lately.
I paint my PanO green and recently restocked, so I will be skipping this, but if I was new or low on supplies, I'd probably be buying it.
Love the model. Too bad i don't need the colors at all. And 30 bucks for a sinlge Fusilier is a bit harsh. So i guess i`ll skip him. If i could buy the model separatly i would get 2.
I’ll be getting this for the model alone, if I can find it locally. He will make a good machinist proxy until a real N3 one is released.
This is really cool as a set idea, it's something sensible that GW has done for ages. That said, I already own all bar the panzer colour, my scheme is mostly white anyway, and I prefer my fusiliers with berets On. Really great business move though.
