I really like how there is never the same faction or s3ctorial that is consitently in the top 3. The game looks more balanced now in N5.

    [14:35]Micro: List Notes:

    Both Lists:
Liberto and Delegate are just too good not to have
Chaksa for baggage and cheerleading. Would swap all but 1 for kauri minelayers instead if I had any spare points. Minimum 1 is required for reloading the Taq officer.
Sukeul HMG is the best gun in faction
Taq officer is primarily for mirrorball (Eclipse Pheroware) and a BS13 combi to complement the HMG. Endgame (Damage Pheroware) is excellent to have on defence, but a bit anaemic on offence due to the double shot nerf.
Kosail Engineer is an excellent Symbiobomber as she ignores stealth (via combat instinct). Otherwise she's a cheap 2W Medium Inf WIP 14 specialist who can remove spotlight on 14s and deactivate annoying things like pitchers and turrets on 20s, potentially from within eclipse.
Sukeul K1 Combi FO is an excellent gunfighter for killing TAGs and HI, particular when pair with a source of mirrorball (Eclipse Pheroware) to get under any HMGs good range
Kriigel are excellent. Unlimited eraser (Jammer Pheroware) which ignores stealth (via native 6th sense) is so good. Great source of mirrorball (Eclipse Pheroware) too, particularly on reactive against stealth Susan, who Tohaa would otherwise have a big problem with.
Note: Kriigel have a NORMAL grenade launcher. They only had a smoke grenade launcher in Spiral, which Tohaa didn't inherit. This grenade launcher can be good to use as a Plan B against a true null deployment on missions like Armoury and Panic Room when going 1st.
Sukeul K1 Sniper + 2x Kaeltar primarily for ARO duty. Level 3 bonus important for dodging against smoke shooting.
No Makauls as their DA/Viral CCWs are only PS8 butterknives, and I have sufficient eclipse via the Taq/Kriigel's mirrorball.
Symbiomates go on the HMG and K1 Sniper
Symbiobombs go on the Kosail (Ignores stealth) and either the HMG or K1 Combi, so that both active links have a Symbiobomb each
    [14:35]Micro: ----------------------
    [14:36]Micro: List 1 (Cryo/Mindwipe/Countermeasures):
9-6 split for flexibility – particularly so the Gao-Tarsos can swap groups if required.
List was written purely for countermeasures, as that was by far Tohaa's hardest scenario in the lineup.
The list ended up being good enough for Cryo and Mindwipe too.
Consciously chose to run no hackers, as they kept either getting pitcher-trinityed or did nothing in test games. In exchange I took the Gao-Tarsos and Greif in place of Aelis and a Wardriver.
Sakiel paramedic chosen over the cheaper kamael paramedic so I have an extra veteran troop for classifieds
Kosail and Taq officer are in separate links to distribute the 2 medium infantry for classified coverage
If going 1st, the Greif tries to hunt any obvious Lts. Otherwise deploys somewhere annoying to dig out
Gao-Tarsos's role is scenario dependent. See below.
    [14:36]Micro: ---------------------
    [14:36]Micro: List 2 (Panic Room/Armoury):
Knew I wanted a 10-5 split, as claiming/reclaiming the objective room and building fort kick-a__ can be order intensive
Having enough essential personnel for Panic Room was the puzzle to solve here
Sukeul K1 Combi is the Lt instead of the Taq Officer to gain 1 additional essential personnel
Sukeul K1 Combi only duos with the Kriigel to increase its manoeuvrability due to only having 2 members of the link.
Samsa is both an essential personnel and quite lethal with his super jumping plasma
Igao is present because I saw that I might have trouble killing mim 6 troops (due to no visors) and decent CC combatants who had dodged into CC with any random Tohaa in the room.
    [14:36]Micro: ..........................
    [14:36]Micro: Scenario Notes:

    Round 1 (Cryo) plan:
    Aim to go first
    If going first:
=> Press 3 buttons, and rely on my defence to weather the storm on bottom of 1
=> Reserve both the Greif and the Gao-Tarsos
=> Grief hunts obvious Lt or the likely master breacher – whichever is easier
=> Gao-Tarsos deploys on the table and goes for buttons if the Greif fails to land or dies after 1 order
    If going second:
    => Press 2 buttons if I can
=> Hunt the enemy master breacher on bottom of 1
=> Reserve the Greif to be annoying
=> Combat Jump/Parachute the Gao-Tarsos to grab any weird buttons and/or be points in a zone if I can out-point the opposing dominant master breacher
Ended up going second vs KCF and only just killing the opposing Crux master breacher on my last bottom of 1 order. Opponent had pressed 3 buttons so I waited until turn 2 to press the last button.
    [14:36]Micro: ---------------------------
    [14:36]Micro: Round 2 (Mindwipe) plan:
    Aim to go first
Plan is similar if going first or second
Press the button on turn 1!
Try to stage one of the active triads to go after servers on turn 2
Combat Jump/Parachute the Gao-Tarsos to run behind and D-Charge servers when an opening appears
Ended up going second vs vYJ. Gao-Tarsos got to live the D-Charge dream on bottom of 2, killing 2 servers uncontested (one of which was the AI) after moving to the primary group. Set up the pherowares to protect my AI, which my opponent had to suicide through to blow up with his uberhacker Zhencha and Krit with D-charges.
    [14:36]Micro: ------------------------
    [14:37]Micro: Round 3 (Countermeasures) plan:
    Ugg...
Aim to go first, unless the initial classifieds are awful
REMEMBER THAT I HAVE NO HACKERS! I need to be very careful when ditching classifieds, so that I don't accidently draw a hacker classified
Greif tries to hunt any obvious Lts, unless there is a classified he can do in the initial set
Gao-Tarsos sits off the table until there is a classified she can efficiently do via border skirmishers combat drop
I have no CC troops, so I'll probably need to endgame (damage pheroware) the QAZ creature if I can't get a LOS line onto it.
Ended up going first vs HB. Grief landed next to the Barid hacker Lt, but spent 3 orders failing to kill the Barid before a nearby flashy boi dodged into CC to neutralise the threat.
Unfortunately couldn't quite get over the line as I wasn't able to efficiently do almost any of the classifieds I got. I did dodge the hacker classifieds though!
    [14:37]Micro: ----------------------------
[14:37]Micro: Round 4 (Panic Room) and 5 (Armoury) plan:
The plan is pretty similar for both TBH...
Aim to go second, but don't stress too much if I go first.
If going first for Panic Room, get in the box, set up fort kick-a__ with pheroware in the far side corners and Liberto mines inside. Then pick off what I can.
If going first in the armoury, if there is stuff to pick off, do so and leave the armoury closed. End the turn with pheroware hanging out along the armoury wall on my side, to mess with whatever enters the room.
If going second in either scenario, clear the room and get in there. Then set up fort kick-a__. After that pick off what I can with any remaining orders.
When defending the room, prioritise pherowareing any CC troops, as I can't easily defend against smoke-stabbing. Use what cover I can to force opposing gunfighters to go through pheroware before being able to shoot.
In Panic Room, try to have 1 coordinated order on turn 1 to move things out of the biotechvore
In Panic Room, ended up winning the roll, choosing to pick deployment AND being told to go first vs TLB. I was able to kill 4 things, including his Firebat before securing the room. Unfortunately for my opponent, BTS6 couldn't save his troops from my reactive pheroware, so he bounced off the room.
In Armoury, lost the roll and went first vs IA. Picked off 3 things including his Rhu shi mine dispenser to death – which I did NOT want to deal with. Got to set up pheroware hell just outside the room. Opponent managed to dodge Bixia into the room, with an APHMG Shang ji watching her back. Managed to kill the Shang ji after 7 orders of K1 combi... then knocked Bixia unconscious before setting up fort kick-a__. Opponent tried valiantly to dominate the room on bottom of 2 – including speedballing Bixia to life, but couldn't quite get enough points in to support her. Bixia eventually dodged into CC on my top of 3, before she got ganked by the Igao.
