So I guess I'll need to start the N5 thread for O12.

I'll start with this! I love it. I'm only disappointed in the lack of gravitational pull. See the BoW video if you don't undertsand.

My disappointement is the armement (SMG and Thunderbolt) and the fact that it's a BIG block of plastic... the Nomad one is better looking.

SMG? Looks like at least a combi rifle to me. Hopefully it has options.

On other O12 notes, I’m ok with the selections for Vanilla so far. It’s pretty much the same as it was I think. The only one I’ll miss is Hector. Hopefully he’s still in Starmada.

Fireteam changes. I want to know if the +1 to dodge is cumulative. Beta troopers currently have +3 dodge. Is it now +4? Is Bixie +7?

I already love duos with my Roadbot and Okko. It’s going to be even better if they also get the burst bonus. But I never really used them for their shooting. But this makes me want to do the Lawkeeper with Okko even more!

The duo might make Nyoka more of a thing for me. Right now, I never use them because they are expensive for what they do. Now I can keep the cost down by only having two.

I was already using a pure core for Kappa all of the time. I’m hoping all of the troops that count as a Security team stay the same. Usually two kappa hackers, two Raveneye, and a Kapa Missile or HMG or Psi-Cop MMR.

Yeah, it says SMG+Thunderbolt on the render (bottom left). Kinda.... hmm about that. But we don't know how flyers work or what bonuses it will get, so, trying not to pre-judge.

Am keen to see fireteam composition updates for Starmada in particular - what can haris, what can duo, what counts as pure, etc.
For instance, be great to see what the lawkeeper/roadbot/oko purity combo works out to be.
Also be curious to see how some profiles get translated.

I'm expecting few changes. Most make sense as they are. Though I'd like if Kappa could Duo.

I'd love if i could start running bluecoat+psicop duos all over the place, but somehow I doubt I'll be allowed to

    Why those two specifically?

Both security, you need a kappa or bluecoat to form the team, i think the bluecoat would cover for the psicop really well, like i think they'd complement one another.

Plus, I just like the vibes.

MSV1 Psicop is a low-key killer, if it can pure duo easily, it'll be a great pick for a back up piece! Betas will be a brilliant duo too, I feel.

I'm overall really happy with the N5 port so far, and love the firebat design. It'll be a lot of fun to paint.

I am a bit narked about losing andromeda and casanova from O12, one of them made it into most of my lists, and they are such fun to play. Looks like I'm finally making the port over into Starmada at some point!

Fun thing is that I extensively use both Andromeda and Casanova at the same time in one of my list archetypes for Starmada. I do hope they are still there in n5!

O12 for me is all about premium specialists who are also very dangerous in some way; Andy, Cas, Raptor, Psicop, Crusher, Sirius, etc. I really like that about their identity, so I'm pleased to see them keep most of those units, even if my faves are gone. I guess I'll field KHD Raptor more now in vanilla, as it's a brilliant t2 attack piece.

I wonder how viable wrecker/firebat lists are going to be. ChonkO12 would be a fun archetype!

I maybe one of the few but I hope Chaksa are not cut from Starmada. I've loved a haris of them with a PsiCop. Especially since they are some of the few with a weapon that can hurt Bears. The Mk12 and Redfury being my favorites.

I feel with the Fireteam nerfs, Zetas have gotten even better in N5. Pure Burst 5 will be rarer.

I agree with you but not for the same reason: the nerf of defensive fireteams will make TAGs and shooting platform of their alike better, since less chance to take multiple bursts ARO freely in trying to remove threats.

I really hope tags catch some kind of nerf in n5, or they'll be dominant!

From Bostria’s videos we know that “no cover” and “limited cover” are going to be rules used for toning down profiles.

I would bet that all TAGs are about to get “limited cover” as a rule. Be it, they can benefit for partial cover only for Saving Throws, but not for the FtF roll. Making them effectively much more easy to be shoot at.

I know the loss of the +3BS is a big nerf, but I could see myself taking a lot more defensive duos using the pseudo +1b than the ~2-3 ARO pieces I used to take in a defensive core (depending of course on what the actual fireteam charts look like)

I am making my bets that technical weapons are about to be able to get Fireteam Bonuses again. Starmada ARO defense is going to be defined by the following pieces, if the profiles stay more or less the same:

    - Panzerfaust Roadbots, who can even link DUO pure
    - Linked Sekudroids
    - Linked Nyoka HRL in DUO
    - Crushers LRL
    - Flashbots
    - Linked Vidocq MSR
    - Additional 'soft' and 'null' ARO pieces such as camos, mines etc

So, do we have a list of what's on our vanilla O12 chart? I know we have a picture, but I can't read it properly (my bad). So, what's been cut from our N4 chart

Not a good one yet. But I can see most of it and below is what we don't have. I'll miss Hector, Betas, and I always wanted try but never had the chance is REM Racers. They would have been really good with the Stormbot I think.
