N4 has finally gifted us with linkable doctors, or more specifically, paramedics that are less of a gamble to roll with.

Medikit passes and fails no longer cancel each other out in N4. If you hit a model with it with multiple burst as long as 1 roll passes the model recovers a wound. So with that in mind the linking Zhanshi, Zuyong, and Shang-Ji paramedics get alot more interesting if you can slot them into at least a 3 man link to get that burst 2.

At BS14 a medikit has a 49% chance to land both shots, 42% chance to hit once, and a 9% chance to miss twice.

Reviving Shang Ji-sus on PH14 with a burst 2 medikit at BS14 comes out to a 73.99% chance of success, 17.01% chance to kill Shang Ji-sus, and a 9% chance to do nothing.

That puts the humble Zhanshi Paramedic at a relatively impressive chance to bring Shang Ji-sus back from the dead within 8" if you can get burst 2 on him.

The Shang Ji Paramedic is also an interesting option firing at BS16 within 8" (or BS13 at 16"). 64% to hit both shots, 32% to hit 1, and 4% to miss both.

That puts the Shang Ji Paramedic at 80.64% chance to revive a PH14 target like Shang Ji-sus.

Provided you can keep a Haris bonus on the Shang Ji (or Zuyong) paramedic it's the best "doctor" in the faction for targets with a good PH value. The Zhanshi Yisheng with a command token reroll available has an 87.75% chance to succeed, but this does come at the heavy cost of needing command tokens available and is almost always less order efficient. The percentage also isn't quite comparative yet between the doctor and the paramedic because I need to adjust the calculations still to remove the double miss chance on the Paramedics.

Reviving a Zuyong or other PH12 trooper: 66,36%
Reviving a Daoying or other PH10 trooper: 57,75%
Reviving a trooper using the Doctor skill, with consecutive re-rolls: 65%, 87,75%, 95,71%

That means always use a Fireteamed (edit: or coordinated) Medikits on Monks, Liang Kai, Krakots and Wu Ming.
It's funny how this is even more true for Pan-O since they've got better BS and generally speaking higher PH.

I was about to say unfortunately we can't fireteam paramedics for Wu Ming, but that's not true anymore we can get the Dakini Paramedic into a Haris now.

You can also Coordinate Doctors and Paramedics in a setting where you have the gear but not the team for a similar effect.

I actually watched a Hospi laugh with his B2 BS20 Medikit tonight and healed Joan off NWI with it.
