My new tohaa list

Wait, Spiral Corps lacks medium range high burst guns? That's literally what the entire army does, buff a Draal and have the Draal go to town... Spiral Corps lacks long range shooting power, which is a huge problem this list has as well.

You have 3 Spitfires, which is too many for the chassis they are on. I would just straight up skip the Taqeul, he doesn't offer anything a Kaeltar doesn't, especially not for double the cost.

The next issue is the Sakiel and the Gao-Rael. I think Sakiel's are a really decent package, but the visor + FD1 on the Gao-Rael makes him a much better option for a piece to advance up the table into camo marker territory and shoot.

Next is long range guns -- you probably want to include and HMG in this list somewhere, especially if your preference is to shoot first and then push buttons. The Sukeul is the preferred shooter for that case.

The next big issue you have is the lack of reactive turn presence. Yes, everything having B2 is cool, but there are no AROs that are dangerous beyond that. You should try to get a Nikoul, Gao-Rael Sniper, Sukeul Missile, or some more indirect presence like a Draal with a Dazer, a Liberto, or even the Neurocinetics Auxiliar.

 

Yea, agree with most of ^^ but the biggest issue is this isn't a Spiral Corps list.

Doesn't work the Kriigel against the Gao Rael? Would pair him with a Sukeul to went against MSV Troops.

 

True, in the list provided Kriigel would probably work better paired with the Draal AP Marksman Rifle than the Gao-Rael.
The Draal with SMG also works well with the Gao-Real Spitfire, if you keep the Gao-Rael within the Stratuscloud it can be a beast in the active turn against any units relying on smoke, camo, or ODD for defense.

 

Mid range weapon are effectively rare and very expensive in triad :

Spitfire :
only neema can get one spitfire in triad.
Then you have the reex you need a special fireteam to bring him in triad which can be interesting but profil become expensive and is not flexible.
Rasail is not in triad but it s a very good profil.

Ap marksman rifle :

40pts draal. Worth it but still expensive for a dam13 weapon

25 greif operator. Didn’t try it but looks cheap and usefull

Pherobooster :

A special interesting krigell profil if you have room for it

Kiel san bring good range weapon redfury and mk12 for 53pts

Conclusion

Further than 40cm spiral corps has effectively very few and mostly costy options so you have to find other way to deal with this lack of assault weapons with high burst. when comparing with other factions it’s clear that this is the spiral corps intended weakness
This fact make me think that this faction is not very suitable for beginners which should start with tohaa :P

Last remark : there are many snipers able to handle long distance ARO correctly but not dwith high burst weapon

 

Aemaru I just want to point out that reex can't go into a special fireteam in vanilla Tohaa, thats a mistake in army builder that hopefully gets fixed soon

Yeah that got a lot of crossover and I really wish some of the SC only profiles were in Tohaa too...especially from the Tagma Schemer and the Triad options for the Kiel
