I'll throw this question out again as realistically it was never clarified in N4 but more often then not it would be table ruled or otherwise sorted out without issue. But as we are in a new edition and most regions I have heard from seeing a boom in players, figured this is a question worth clarifying. As a foreword, mods of the same type don't stack as I understand it so multiple -1 MOV is not in question, my understanding is they won't stack.

But with Difficult terrain being even more punishing then before, this raises the question. If you have overlapping difficult terrain areas, do you have to stop at each one? Or do you keep moving with a single -1 MOV penalty the whole way through?

To complicate matters, if you have 2 different pieces of difficult terrain with a large gap, but place a Dazer which places a difficult terrain area down in it's Zone of Control, do you now only stop at the start of the Dazer and then can move without stopping through the other zones of difficult terrain? Or do you also still stop at each differing difficult terrain?

If you stop at the above example, how about 2 Dazers with overlapping zones? They are independent difficult terrain areas. Or how about 2 Dazers with 30mm between them and you have an S3+ sized model? Do they stop or continue on because they are always in contact with atleast one.

The whole crux of this discussion comes down to what defines a difficult terrain area. Is it each individual element or a unified whole? Because the stopping requirement says if you enter silhouette contact with a difficult terrain area you stop. And Dazers are pretty explicit that they make a difficult terrain area and the terrain rules are pretty clear at differentiating different terrain areas (mostly so you can be clear on what each piece of terrain does).

Figured I'd lay that out there.
