    Hi all,

The second bullet point in camouflaged state and impersonation (both 1 and 2) is:
    • Troopers cannot enter base to base contact with a Camouflage/Impersonation Marker.

Then in the movement general conditions FAQ we have this:

Q: Can a trooper move through allied Markers like Camouflage, TO Camouflage and IMP Markers, or his own Deployable Equipment and Deployable Weapons?
A: Yes, if the trooper’s Silhouette Attribute is equal or greater.

So I'm wondering, how can a trooper move through a camo/imp marker without entering base to base contact with said marker ?

The ingame situation that rose this question was as follow:
Player A had an Impersonation marker in a tight corridor, Player B wanted one of is troopers to go through that corridor.

We considered the FAQ gave him the right to do so because the IMP marker was considered "friendly".

But then we were not sure what the possible AROs for the IMP were. Can he declare CC attack because the enemy enter base to base contact at some point ? I was playing the IMP marker and chose to be conservative with the rule and declared engage (which I failed and died^^, but that's not what it is about).

    Thanks for your help.

    Max

you cannot move over the opponents markers, in you situation there was no way for Player B to move past trough or over Player As marker. Body blocking like this is a thing in infinity

You cannot be in B2B with any markers
However you are able to move through his own troops under a marker as per the move through troops rules. but the opponent cannot

You can only do so if the marker is an allied one, if it is an enemy you cannot.

The IMP marker could not move and keep the space plugged freely, while forcing you to spend orders on Discover rolls. If your model is close enough, after dropping to the IMP state without penalty the marker could declare Engage, for a "free" move + dodge to get B2B

As daboarder says, the FAQ gives you an exception allowing you to enter base contact/move through your own markers. No equivalent exception exists for enemy markers.

not own marker but allied marker, see bellow:

Stunt is a member of my gaming group and I've mislead him regarding this issue because:

    http://infinitythewiki.com/en/Impersonation
"Enemies perceive an impersonator in the Impersonation-1 or Impersonation-2 state (IMP-1 or IMP-2 Marker) as an ally."

    http://infinitythewiki.com/en/General_Movement_Rules
"Q: Can a trooper move through allied Markers like Camouflage, TO Camouflage and IMP Markers, or his own Deployable Equipment and Deployable Weapons?
A: Yes, if the trooper’s Silhouette Attribute is equal or greater."

so RAW you can pass through an imp marker.
both sentence have the "ally" keyword (lol), we can debate about what "perceive" mean in this context but from the trooper pov: he can ^^
I know this is a badly written sentence and I'm not saying that you should be able to do so
    holes, holes everywhere \o/

Well, We all know Bob the accountant is adamant with the paperwork...

    - as-salāmu ʿalaykum... I mean, What's up man!
    - Bob, get out of my way!
    - Are you in a hurry? Because you didn't fill the model 620A/340
    - Seriously man, they are waiting for me... it's not even funny..."
    - Don't worry, it won't take long. Just fill this one, sign here and there and then...

While you can pass through allied markers, you still won’t enter the BtB state with them. If you wanted to execute some skill that required BtB contact, you would need to reveal the marker first.

he doesn't wanted to btb the imp marker he wanted to pass through (read the first post)
the imp marker react with an CC ORA resulting to the trooper passing through him

I understand, and that was adequately answered by the posters before me. I was just adding a note about an additional related effect that I felt was implied by some of their answers.

Perhaps my post was not necessary, and perhaps this one is not, either.
