Hi everyone, I ran into a game situation that my opponent and I were both a bit stumped by. Here's the situation: Troopers A and B are standing less than 2" from one another and are not in a link team. Trooper A activates and declares Move as their first short skill Enemy Trooper X AROs with a Plasma Carbine in Blast Mode. Both A and B are caught in the blast template. Trooper A declares Dodge as their second short skill. Question: Can Trooper B Dodge? Dodge states that a trooper can dodge if one of three requirements is true, one of which is being affected by a template weapon. However, this would essentially mean that Trooper B gets to ARO an ARO, which is explicitly stated as not being possible. Which one wins out? Since it was a casual game we decided that Trooper B could dodge, but I figured I'd check here with everyone else.
Yeah I feel like this is badly phrased in the rules. I feel like it should just say "Is affected by a template weapon in the reactive turn".
